Thanks for taking a break from your chocolate bunny induced comas to join me for our weekly dose of geek rage. I want to apologize for this week’s completely Marvel and DC pull. The tops dogs had too much out to ignore so the indie books got dropped. I hope you can forgive me. Next week, I’ll try to make it up to you.

Marvel had me bored and confused with their Ultimate Fantastic Four and their handful of X-Men books. Their only saving grace this week was a relatively satisfying final issue of Superior Spider-man. DC tried to trick me into liking them by bringing my guilty pleasure The Metal Men into the Forever Evil story arc. They further seduced me with two delicious issues of Batman that left me wondering just how far Bruce Wayne will go for his boy Gordon?

As always, if you’re easily offended tread carefully. Pryde’s Picks is full of boisterous inappropriate humor and way too much geek rage. This week features: Ultimate FF #1 X-Men # 13, Wolverine & the X-Men #3, Hulk #1,  Superior Spider-Man #31,  Forever Evil: Justice League, #29 Batman #30 Batman Eternal.

Be sure to check out my latest project: Welcome to TATES. If you stay up at night wondering what an everyday comic book nerd underdog would do when paired up with the worst villains of the Marvel/DC universes, this is your series. Please donate to our Kickstarter to help get this project off the ground! If nothing else, the perks are pretty sweet…
