A mysterious photo Tweeted Friday by someone known only as @AgentTrainee set of speculation across the net that we now knew the title of Quentin Tarantino’s next flick, and now IndieWire has confirmed it.
Tarantino has long said he’s going to make a spaghetti western, and it looks like this is it. Django Unchained will reportedly star Christoph Waltz (the “Jew Hunter” from Inglorious Basterds) and also possibly Franco Nero (star of the 1966 spaghetti western Django) and Keith Carradine.
No plot details, but speculation has already broken out that this might be another homage film (as almost every Tarantino flick is, in some way), possibly to Django, particularly since Nero might be on board.
Here’s the title page that started all the trouble. Tarantino has been known to write his title pages in his own handwriting, and it seems like this must be what we’ve been waiting to hear about.
