It’s time for war! Civil War! As in Captain America: Civil War. The next Marvel Studios film is wrapping up principal photography and is on course for its release next summer, but spoilers are starting to leak out, and that’s what might be making publicity for Marvel Studios saying “It’s time for war” this morning. It concerns a kind of a major character who is going to have a bigger part in the Marvel franchise as we move headlong into Phase 3. Who could we mean? Wanna find out? If you do it should go without saying that some potentially big spoilers are below.

Last chance to look away because spoilers begin in…

According to Heroic Hollywood, Civil War will feature the death of T’Chaka, the father of T’Challa, The Black Panther who will be played by Chadwick Boseman. According to the blog, the Black Panther will be one of the people out to find the Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) in Civil War, and one of the people that Captain America (Chris Evans) and Falcon (Anthony Mackie) have to protect the Winter Soldier from. This leads to some speculation that the Winter Soldier may be responsible for the death of T’Chaka, another one of the jobs that the former Bucky did as HYDRA’s chief assassin.

As you may know, this is the second big desk to be revealed in Civil War, it was previously revealed that Cap’s World War II love interest Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) would pass away from old age at the beginning of the film thanks to a set pic from the funeral home. Many have also wondered if the movie Civil War, will follow the comic book Civil War and end with the assassination of Captain America at the hands of Crossbones (Frank Grillo) and Agent 13 (Emily Van Camp), both of which, as you know, are in the film.

There’s still no word on who might end up playing T’Chaka, which is starting to sound like a pretty important part, but it was speculated that Wesley Snipes‘ recent meeting with Marvel had more to do with Black Panther than it had to do with Blade. Hint, hint.

Captain America: Civil War will be in theaters everywhere May 6, 2016.
