Superman Saves Foreclosed House

The ultimate question here is this…would you rather keep your house or keep your Action Comics #1?

Ummm…I’ll pick the comic. Why you ask…Here’s my answer: Number 1- (literally) it’s #1. Number 2-Superman makes his debut. Number 3-It’s worth thousands of dollars. Number 4-It’s AWESOME!

So here’s the reason why I ask. A couple (who wishes to remain anonymous, possibly because they are aware of their stupidity)  who were about to lose their home discovered an Action Comics #1 in their basement before they were about to move. The guy knew exactly what he had found and contacted Stephen Fishler, co-owner of ComicConnect and Metropolis. It was put on display at Comic Con and put up for auction with an estimated price of $250,000.00. It was also graded, for those who care, and was in VG+ (very good) condition. The family was:

“still a little shell-shocked about finding this book. I was so nervous when I realized what it was worth. I know I am very fortunate but I will be greatly relieved when this book finds a new home.”
