Alice: Madness Returns

Welcome gaming bastards to another edition of G.R.O.W.

This is NerdBastards weekly game release of the week list, where we give y’all a heads up on what has come out for the consoles and PC/Mac. We also cover downloadable titles as well.

Geez, I remember when these summer months were the video game drought period but that’s not the case this week. This week we see a 3D re-release of a classic Nintendo 64 title and a game that has been in the making for 14 damn years. We also have two sequels in which one of them is a spiritual successor of cult Dreamcast game.

Click on the Read More Button to check out some of these titles and see which one of these games will be taking up most of your time until next weeks batch of video games.

The first day of the Tokyo Game Show happened and three companies have announced some games so far. EA revealed a new trailer for Alice: Madness Returns, which is a sequel to American McGee’s Alice. They also revealed a new game, Shadows of the Damned, which is a collaboration game of a team that includes  Suda51 (No More Heroes, Killer7), Shinji Mikami (creator of Resident Evil), and Akira Yamaoka (did the music for the Silent Hill games).

Capcom also revealed some games as well, such as Asura’s Wrath, which some are already saying the story is like an Eastern/Asian version of God of War. Right off the success of Dead Rising 2: Case Zero, the 360 once again gets another exclusive DLC episode titled Dead Rising 2: Case West. Case West will be an epilogue to Dead Rising 2 and will star Dead Rising original, Frank West. Capcom’s biggest reveal was DmC: Devil May Cry. That’s right, Dante is back and this time… his a lot younger and doesn’t have the trademark silver hair (which is already causing a $h!t storm in the gaming community). DmC is being developed by Ninja Theory (Heavenly Sword, Enslaved: Odyssey to the West).

Other notable news is that Tecmo has announced that the Itagaki-less Team Ninja is developing Ninja Gaiden 3. Also, all signs are pointing that the PS3 will be getting an ICO/Shadow of Collossus HD Collection. Anyways, check after the jump for the trailers of the game that are mentioned above and see if there are any that you are excited for.
