Bad Lip Reading
No doubt many of your are mere hours away from seeing Star Wars Episode VII The Force Awakens, and a very good percentage of you have probably re-watched the the original 3 movies in preparation for this cinematic event. Of course that leaves a great many of us scrambling to find time to get a good solid recap in before the new movie and since Episode VII starts nationwide in just a few hours we don’t really have the time, now do we?
So, rather than blaming our poor time management skills (but seriously, we have to reevaluate how we spend our time,) we can breathe sigh of relief and bang out a full review of the only Star Wars movies that matter in a little more than 20 minutes thanks to the folks over at Bad Lip Reading. You can relive all the high points of the saga like Old Ben’s endless quest for the Pickaxe of Cortez, Vader’s surprise tear jerking emotional reveal at the end of Empire, and of course the songs… Oh all the songs. While we all wait for AMC’s The Walking Dead to return to our TV’s for a fifth season, it’s nice to know that the fine folks over at Bad Lip Reading (the geniuses behind Game of Thrones/Medieval Land Fun-Time World) are on hand give us a (slightly re-dubbed) recap of last season. The following 5 minute video will help refresh your memory on plot lines such as Daryl’s turtle Anthony, extra polite zombies, the dolphin/apple based tension between Rick and Tyreese, and let’s not forget the musical numbers. Oh the musical numbers.
I’m going to be honest, I don’t remember last season of The Walking Dead being like this, but they couldn’t put this recap up on YouTube if it wasn’t true, right? Check it out after the jump (more…)
Tired of waiting for Game Of Thrones to return? Low on your fart joke/jazz hands quota for the week? Well then book of the rest of the day because we’ve got exactly what you need. Bad Lip Reading has taken footage from the midget-dragon-incest laced HBO fantasy drama about midgets and dragons and incest, given it their lipdub treatment to create the Meatballs-esque wacky hijinks comedy we never knew we wanted. Called Medieval Land Fun-Time World, it features Eddie Stark as a theme park manager that has a week to get the park in order before opening and of course hi-jinks ensue. This will be the best thing you see on the internet all day. (more…)

We here at Nerd Bastards try to bring you the best bits of news and nerdery the webz has to offer, with a bit of snark thrown in. But sometimes not everything makes the cut. Monday through Friday we’ll be bringing you our inbox leftovers, our forgotten bookmarks, the nerdy bits that simply slipped through the cracks. You can submit items to Nerdy Bits by emailing us at email@example.com.
Above: TARDIS dresses are a dime a dozen these days. You can’t attend a con without seeing one, but this TARDIS console design from Kirsty Delwig is a real stand out. Everything’s perfect, from the TARDIS jacket to light up center column gown. [The Mary Sue]
