Batman: Arkham Knight was one of the most anticipated games of the year and the rollout went flawlessly, unless you were an old school PC gamer like myself. It seems that while the Playstation version is fantastic, the company that handled the port to PC version didn’t take into account the different video cards PC gamers use and the Frame Rate Per Second transition stutters the video feed until the game is horribly unplayable. Well, you can play it, but you certainly won’t enjoy it. This problem is mainly during the Batmobile sections of the game, which was a big selling point for this latest in the Batman: Arkham franchise. After numerous complaints and backlash started to appear on the Steam gaming platform from PC users, Warner Bros. has suspended Batman: Arkham Knight PC sales until a patch fix can be applied. Batman: Arkham Knight
Just days away from its release, Batman: Arkham Knight is generating some negative buzz for cancelling their special Batmobile themed collectors edition of the game. The Batmobile is the arguably the most exciting new feature this installment of the trilogy; fully drivable and interactive through the world of Gotham.
Batman: Arkham Knight continues to look fantastic. Personally, I find myself more excited about the Barbara Gordon/Batgirl/Oracle prequel expansion that is included in the extended season pass. Oracle will play a major supporting role in this latest incarnation of the Batman Arkham series and it will be nice to play her original Bat-themed-alter-ego. There are some new posters and the new trailer that debuted at E3, check them out below. (more…)
There’s a new Xbox commercial out for the upcoming Batman: Arkham Knight video game from Rocksteady Studios making the Internet rounds. It’s got very little to do with the game and everything to do with the game’s players because everyone wants to be Batman. This video shows you how. (more…)
In a gaming sea of rehashes, remasters, and disastrous launches, it’s great to know that we have Batman to pull us out of the gloom with a kickass new game. Batman: Arkham Knight, Rocksteady’s finale to their critically acclaimed, much loved Arkham franchise, is one of the few releases carrying the 8th generation torch this year, almost single-handedly justifying a console upgrade. That said, it’s great to know that Rocksteady and WB Games weren’t afraid to throw some delays our way to make sure that they launch the best game possible and now, after announcing another 3 week delay, we’ve been given a final launch date and a look at some exciting new gameplay to wet our appetites. Maybe it’s just me, but I only know a handful of people who have adopted to next generation gaming. I know more people who are instead holding off on getting an X-Box One or Playstation 4 until better gaming titles are released. With the Holidays around the corner, there happens to be a slew of big titles coming. Titles that will undoubtedly push a few fence sitters over to fresher gaming pastures. One of the biggest, most anticipated, and outright siiiiick looking titles – Batman Arkham Knight – was arguably the sole reason to buy a new system before the end of 2014. Well, unfortunately, those who were ready to throw their money at the nearest Gamestop will have to wait. How long? I don’t think you wanna know. But, hey, there is some good news too! (more…)
We all got excited to see the Cape and Cowl that Ben Affleck will be wearing in Zack Snyder‘s Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice when SDCC14 opened last Thursday. What a lot of us overlooked were that other Batman Capes and Cowls from DC Entertainment, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, and Vice Magazine‘s twenty artist Cape/Cowl/Create event promoting the soon to be released Batman: Arkham Knight video game. (more…)
E3 truly is the best time of the year for video gamers. Everything looks fantastic, and we’re still too far away to know what’s going to turn out to be crap. Regardless of what hits and what misses, it’s almost a given that any entry in the Batman: Arkham series will be a success, and I’m happy to say that the first gameplay trailer for Batman: Arkham Knight doesn’t disappoint! Batman junkies may be a little irked that Rocksteady’s Batman: Arkham Knight video game has been delayed until next year. But, like all things we grow to love, it sometimes takes time to produce a top-notch game. One thing the gamer team has been showing off recently is a look at the way the Batmobile mechanics work. Unfortunately, the teaser we received doesn’t really go into detail about how these mechanics actually function in-game. Now, a voice in the dark has spoken up in an effort to enlighten us a bit about what we can expect. (more…)
Remember a little while ago when I was gushing about how cool the new video game Batman: Arkham Knight is going to be. Rocksteady’s epic finale, the game will allow players to explore an open-world Gotham City as Batman and even drive the Batmobile. Next-generation graphics, a map larger than anything seen before and the ability to finally control Batman’s ride? This, I said, will be the Batman game we’ve all been waiting for.
Well, it’s still going to be the Batman game we’ve been waiting for but that wait just got extended by a bit. (more…)
