The staff at NerdBastards is very much divided on the Michael Bay-directed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle movies. Half of us watched the first film and secretly acknowledged that it at was at least a good way to waste two hours of our time. The other half bayed at the heavens as soon as they caught wind of the new CGI Turtles, cringed as they watched the first teasers roll in and slowly curled themselves into the fetal position all the way up to Act 3. With Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Out of The Shadows recently announced, most of us feared a repeat of the oh-so-gradual lapse in quality that began with Secret Of The Ooze. What we didn’t expect however, was that the movies would be as bold as to introduce one of the TMNT’s cartoon series most iconic villains. (more…)

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 production continues to grow with the addition of Gary Anthony Williams to the cast. He’s reported to play Bebop, which means we should also be hearing some Rocksteady casting news in the near future. You’ve seen Williams on television as Malcolm’s best friend Stevie’s father on Malcolm in the Middle and you’ve heard his voice in a ton of cartoons series like The Boondocks where he voiced Uncle Ruckus. A Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Just Died

Captain America.  Spider-Man.  Superman.  The list of heroes whose comic book deaths broke our hearts goes on and on and this week, another name was added to the list.  While this character may not have been a “superhero”, per se, there is no doubt that his actions both on the page and on the big screen were heroic and selfless, and many comic book readers considered him a favorite of his group.  After 30 years of being one of the heroes on a half shell, Donatello has been killed at the hands of Bebop and Rocksteady.
