What do The Flash, Daredevil, and Arrow all have in common? They’re all current television shows based on comic book characters that stars the main hero. Unlike these shows, Gotham is one of the only shows that doesn’t follow the same formula. Yet it still works. Even with only one season under it’s belt, people are begging to know when are we going to see the big bat. Unfortunately, the Dark Knight may not be making an appearance anytime soon. (more…)
Gotham season one was a success for Fox, the Batman-prequel series brought in enough viewers to guarantee not just a full-season order, but an early renewal for the second season. But while audiences seem to be at least satisfied with what Gotham‘s doings, critical and fan reaction has been decidedly mixed. If there is a gripe to be had that’s universal, it’s the series’ obsession with skating on the hype of doing prequel versions of every last single member of Batman’s rogues gallery, but there’s still some members who haven’t got their time in the spotlight yet. On deck for season two, according to the producers, The Joker and Mr. Freeze. (more…)
Gotham‘s Ben McKenzie, who plays Detective James Gordon, recently sat down with The Daily Beast and teased fans with the possible upcoming appearance of The Flying Graysons. That’s right, Haly’s Circus is coming to town and we might be seeing baby Dick Grayson, or at least John and Mary Grayson, his death-defying aerialist mother and father. (more…)
As we edge closer to the premiere dates for CW‘s The Flash and FOX‘s Gotham, the teasers, clips, and inside information will continue to ramp up the excitement for both series. Hell, they’ve already released the pilot episode for The Flash and I’m still excited to see anything The Flash related hit the Internet. This time around it’s Gotham‘s The Good and Evil and The Flash‘s My Name is... (more…)
Yesterday, we got a wonderful new Gotham trailer and today the marketing powers that be over at FOX have followed that up with two new Gotham videos that spotlight the series villains and soon to be super villains. I’m sure there’s more videos and clips to come before the September 22nd premiere. (more…)
If you watched the MLB All Star game on FOX last night, you got the added treat of a brand new Gotham trailer titled, The Good. The Evil. The Beginning. Despite my early reservations about a Batman television show without Batman, Gotham just keeps looking better and better. (more…)
DC All Access has just released a Gotham featurette that focuses on the characters and how they all interconnect. It’s mixed in with footage from the show’s pilot and has one major and very interesting deviation from Batman Comic book Cannon. (more…)
Fox is going all out for Gotham, the upcoming drama series that follows a young Detective Jim Gordon as he battles his way through the dark, corrupt city that Batman will someday call home. The network has picked up the show for an entire first season and is already promoting the hell out of this thing.
The latest promo is this three and a half minute featurette that gives us a taste of the show and what it’s all about. Simply put, Gotham will be about the seedy crimes of the city and the people who commit and investigate them.
At the upfronts today, the Fox network announced that Gotham, the new Batman prequel series, was getting a plum spot on the prime time schedule. Come September, you’ll be able to watch Gotham leading in to a brand new season of Sleepy Hollow, and if that isn’t an awesome night of nerdy TV, I don’t know what is (unless The CW teams up Arrow with The Flash). But the show won’t be on the air for months, so in a rather tepid attempt to hold over you nerds till the fall, here’s a bunch of behind the scenes photos from the series! (more…)
As we reported just hours ago, Fox has given a series order to Gotham, the show about a young Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) fighting crime in Gotham City years before Bruce Wayne dons the cape and cowl.
The network is following up that big news with the first teaser trailer for the show, which gives us a lot of Gordon, a little of Wayne and glimpses of the villains and characters who will fill this anticipated show.
