blackest night

wondercon_figuresIf you are one of the many going to WonderCon in San Francisco this weekend, or as I call it, Nerd Junior Prom, you might want to check this out. Graffiti Designs will be selling two WonderCon-exclusive DC Direct figures: Black Lantern Hal Jordan and White Lantern Sinestro from DC‘s recent Blackest Night mini that just finished up.

There’s a lottery for a chance to buy the figures, so check the linkage for the details. Each figure also comes with a wearable ring so you can stop making Lantern rings out of Ring Pops and an X-Acto Knife.

Each figure comes to $21.90, including tax.

Reblog this post [with Zemanta]

I will post a disclaimer here: despite what Diamond says on Monday, not all of this stuff ships on Wednesday. Comics are on time (Wednesday in North America, Thursday in Europe) this week.

It looks like a light week. I’ve put a few comments here and there. Mind you, I haven’t read this comics yet, I’m just speculating and being judgmental. 🙂

The big news this week is BLACKEST NIGHT #1. Per DC’s website:

Written by Geoff Johns; Art and cover by Ivan Reis and Oclair Albert; Variant cover by Ethan Van Sciver;Sketch variant cover by Ivan Reis and Oclair Albert

Geoff Johns and Ivan Reis raise the dead in the most anticipated comics story of the year! Throughout the decades, death has plagued the DC Universe and taken the lives of heroes and villains alike. But to what end? As the War of Light rages on, the prophecy of the Blackest Night descends upon us, with Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps at the center of it all.
Don’t miss this 8-issue epic taking the DCU beyond the grave!
