Just like every other panel at SDCC15, the footage from the World of Warcraft Panel has been bootlegged on a cell phone and posted online. The only difference here is that it took so long for the material to be posted. Whoever took it must have had to take a couple of days to recover from the weekend. It’s an over the shoulders shot and background noise laden look at World of Warcraft. This is not the trailer, it was shown after this footage that was brought by director Ducan Jones. (more…)

It happens every year at SDCC and this year was no different. Studios plan huge Hall H Panels and screen some new trailer or footage. Said Footage is promptly recorded on some crappy cell phone and posted to the Internet. At this point it becomes a crazy game of Wack-A-Mole with studio legal departments firing off Cease & Desist letters and yanking videos of Youtube and other platforms. Eventually, most just say screw it and release the official footage a few days later.

Warner Bros. only waited two hours to post the official Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer after the Hall H Panel ended. That took the wind right out of those bootleg trailer sails as everyone wanted to see the higher quality cut. As of this posting, it has reached and surpassed the 23 million views mark. You’d think the other Warner Bros. productions would follow suit, but you’d be wrong. Sue Kroll, President Worldwide Marketing and International Distribution, Warner Bros. Pictures wasn’t so happy about the Suicide Squad trailer Bootlegs.

Every day the internet produces an astounding amount of goodies and gems. Most hilarious, some amusing, but all worth at least a few seconds of your time. We here at Nerd Bastards try to bring you the best bits of news and nerdery the webz has to offer, with a bit of snark thrown in. But sometimes not everything makes the cut. Monday through Friday we’ll be bringing you our inbox leftovers, our forgotten bookmarks, the nerdy bits that simply slipped through the cracks. You can submit items to Nerdy Bits by emailing us at

Originally everyone that has wanted to watch the trailer for Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises would have had to buy a ticket for Harry Potter, not anymore. Some brave fan went all Batman and snuck in a camera to record the trailer to the final Nolan/Batman experience. While we don’t condone sneaking cameras into theaters we can say thank you for getting this out there for the public.

UPDATE: Warner Bros. has been ripping the trailer down left and right but after some digging we found a place untouched so far.

Yeah, we know it’s grainy but hey it’s free, no bitching.
