Last week we all enjoyed Warpzones Born this way/X-Men New Class parody. Well way back in April YouTube user WhatTravisSays came out with his own parody of Lady Gaga’s “Born this way” with a Doctor Who twist. I’m surprised by not seeing it somewhere before this. This video definitely deserves more than the 25k hits it currently has on YouTube. Take a look and let me know if you agree in the comments section below. Oh, and give it a like on YouTube, we’ve got to encourage people to make more videos like this.
(Yes, this is a screen cap of aforementioned space birth)
In her newest video forBorn This Waywe’re told the story of Mother Monster who resides in GOAT, a government owned space territory, as she gives birth to the perfect race. But at the same time there are some evil people born too, or something like that. But we should all be proud because we were born just the way we are, I think. Really, are you all that surprised I can’t explain what went on in a Lady Gaga music video. Many will watch this and be like, “Whoa, this crazy bitch has really gone too far!” Me, I kind of like it.
Now slow down, before you start accusing me of being a Gaga fangirl I do like her songs for what they are, pop tunes. I don’t own any of her albums and I couldn’t really tell you a song of hers, but when I hear them I like them. People were saying the same shit about Madonna in the 80s, “OMG! She’s making crazy blasphemous videos!” And now everyone thinks she a icon of music and pop music in particular. So quiet down all you haters.
Now, why I like it. I like things that are different. I like people who make what they want to make and don’t really care what happens. I get the impression that’s what Gaga’s like. She just happens to be raking in the millions because lots of people do like it. And this video is different, it’s like Flash Gordon meets Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. Crazy kaleidescope births, plastic heads on conveyor belts and lots of people dancing in their underwear. Actually, when I think about this, anyone’s who seen a interpretive dance number or an underground artist’s gallery show may not find this all that strange. Mainstream it is not. Regardless, here’s Lady Gaga giving birth to gay people in space, which is a great sumation I cannot take credit for, thanks io9’s Charlie Jane Anders.
