Boyd Holbrook

There are some new rumors floating around the Internet about Hugh Jackman‘s last run at Wolverine. We’ve already heard that Wolverine 3 will be “R” rated, include Patrick Stewart‘s Professor X, and be set in the future drawing heavily on the Old Man Logan story line. This latest bit comes from the Nerdist, reporting a source close to the production, that Wolverine will be facing not just Boyd Holbrook‘s as yet un-named original villain, but a number of familiar Wolverine adversaries.

*Potential Spoilers Ahead

I’m not sure who I was expecting to play Kyle Reese in the new Terminator reboot (or whatever) Terminator: Genesis, but Jai Courtney (A Good Day to Die Hard) and Boyd Holbrook (Out of the Furnace) wouldn’t make the Top 2. They do however make the production’s Top 2, and I guess that’s all that counts. (more…)

The powers that be behind Amazing Spider-Man II are looking to fill the role of Harry Osborn, Peter Parker’s high school buddy with father issues. The current word around town is that four actors are in consideration at the moment.

Sam Claflin (Snow White and the Huntsman), Eddie Redmayne (Birdsong), Douglas Booth (Noah) and Boyd Holbrook (Hatfields and McCoys).

Harry is a tragic character in the comics with a host of personal problems including a drug habit, an indifferent and sometimes cruel father, and unknowingly, the guy that dated the woman Peter loves, all of which drove Harry into a severe mental collapse after he discovers that his father Norman Osborn was the villainous Green Goblin. Harry then assumes the Green Goblin mantle and tries to kill Spider-Man. Great tragic story telling that that other Spider-Man franchise screwed the hell up. Rocket Skateboard indeed!

Boyd Holbrook is the only one whose acting work I’ve seen so far, he was great in Hatfields and McCoys. What do you think about the group, which would you pick, or maybe there is someone else out there you think would better fit the bill?
