Bryce Dallas Howard

It’s taken three years since the film was announced but the first teaser for Pete’s Dragon, Disney‘s remake of their own live action and cartoon kid-friendly hit from 1977, has now dropped . As with the original, it tells the tale of Pete, a young orphan who has managed to survive alone in the woods with the help of his friend Elliot, who just happens to be a invisible dragon. ‘Jurassic World’ Sequel Coming in 2018!

Hang on to your butts.

Universal Picture’s @JurassicPark Twitter account announced the inevitable sequel to the third largest movie in film history, Jurassic World today. An accompanying press release from the studio announced that Steven Spielberg would again sit in the executive producers chair, and stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard would be returning for more prehistoric mayhem. Jurassic World‘s director, Colin Trevorrow and partner Derek Connolly would be writing.   (more…)

“Being a ‘monster’ is relative. To the canary, a cat is a monster.  Trouble is, we are used to being the cat.” –Dr. Henry Wu (BD Wong), Jurassic World

While there have been some big movies that have already opened during this summer season, only one film promises as much mid-1990s, father-of-the-modern-special-effects-blockbuster nostalgia as you can handle.  Getting to see the film on Thursday, June 11, the weight of the fact that I’m seeing Jurassic World exactly 22 years to the day that the first Jurassic Park was unleashed upon the public is definitely not lost on me.  Much like the first film of the franchise, this new movie is high on spectacle and will leave audiences wowed at the amount of prehistoric-turned-modern eye candy they are getting.  Unlike the original, however, this new installment lacks much of the wonder ingrained into the tale, and the characterization of the human portion of the story leaves much to be desired.

Jurassic World (1)

Goodness, who would have thought Chris Pratt, lovable goofball from Parks & Recreation, would become an action star?

That’s certainly what he looks like in these new images from Jurassic World. Not only does he a have a tight, flattering shirt and a devil-may-care look in his eyes, he’s also got a freaking motorcycle. I mean, come on, this guy has become a perfect leading man in short time.

But it’s just Pratt we see in these new photos. We also get a good look at a few other character but, sadly, no dinosaurs. Let’s take a closer look after the jump. (more…)

Bigger news that this has broken recently concerning the casting of Edgar Wright’s upcoming Ant-Man flick. We heard early in the week that Michael Douglas was joining the pack as Hank Pym (though not, it seems, as Ant-Man), and now there are few more casting rumors floating through the great empty place that is the Internet. This one concerns rumored roles for Michael Pena and either Rashida Jones or Bryce Dallas Howard. (more…)

When you cast Idris Elba in your blockbuster, the badass quotient goes by by at least 25 per cent (just look at this past summer’s Pacific Rim). So keeping that in mind, do you think it’s a good idea to have an Elba-inflated Jurassic World cast? Well, if you do, that’s the rumor of the day, but before you get too excited, some closer scrutiny might indicate that this news will remain firmly in the realm of the rumor.

With filming on the Jurassic Park fourthquel being pushed back yet again it was a pleasant surprise to learn they had decided on an official title, Jurassic World, and an expected release date in the already overly crowded summer of 2015. Now there’s now some news on who might star. The Wrap has the scoop one Bryce Dallas Howard is in talk to star alongside the rumored-to-be-returning Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum.

Colin Trevorrow is still attached to direct with Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley producing. Jurassic World is set to open June 12th, 2015, which for those keeping track is 22 years after the first was released in theatres.

Are you excited to see the franchise continue? How about with Howard as the star?

Today on Oprah, the full trailer of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse debuted. Unlike its predecessors, this one may spark your curiosity (or not), but so far it looks better then Twilight and New Moon. Here’s the run down for those of you who do not read the books: In this part of the series the Cullens (Edward and his family), and their friends, go to war against the Volturi and Newborn Vamps that Victoria (Bryce Dallas Howard)  has so graciously created to try and take out the “good” vampires…and that’s all I’m going to say on the matter. I’m a huge fan of the books but have been extreemly disappointed in the movies thus far. But honestly, I must say that this trailer has been by far the most exciting. Now, I’m not putting all my faith into the movie yet and there is no way in hell I will be seeing the movie opening night this time around, but I am looking forward to it and hope this movie is just as exciting as the book. Let me know your thoughts on the trailer…Does it look better then Twilight and New Moon? Will it step up to the standards the book has set?

Twilight Series: Eclipse Trailer Released

(article by:  Crystal Halcott)
I’m not going to lie. I am a huge fan of the Twilight Series…that is, the book series. The movies, not so much. Yeah, sure they’re OK to go and see with my teenage neighbors or watch the original movie alone at night when I’m feeling sorry for myself and need a semi-romantic movie to cry too. To be honest, the first movie (Twilight) was just OK, the second (New Moon) was a downright disgrace. And now I’m dreading how Eclipse, directed by David Slade, will turn out. Here’s the low-down on Eclipse, and it’s very simple: Bella (Kristen Stewart) loves Edward. Edward (Robert Pattinson) loves Bella. Jacob (Taylor Lautner) loves Bella. Bella does not love Jacob. Enter a crazed, red-headed vampire, Vicoria (Bryce Dallas Howard who is replacing Rachelle Lefevre) and some warewolf-on-vampire action to win Bella over, and we have your basic love triangle (minus the vampire and wolf thing). Will I see the movie? Yes. Will I see it opening night (June 30, 2010)? Nope. Did that last time and wanted to kill myself…Do I expect great things from this movie? No way, but I still want to see it. Check out the trailer below and let me know your thoughts.
