What’s up Bastards! After having some damn problems we are back and so is DVD Tuesday! Since Tuesday has just passed on, I decided to do a “lite” version and pretty much recommend what came out last week and this week as well.
In other words, I’m only going to list the stuff that you should at least check out. You can expect a full return of DVD Tuesday next week but for now, check after the jump to see what came out and see if there is something you want! (more…)
Once again, it’s a Tuesday and NerdBastards is here to help ya out on your DVD purchases. Like every Tuesday, we list what came out today and recommend if the movie if either a BUY, RENT, or a PASS. Today’s movie release is about “If you like a certain movie/person than watch this film.” We got the usual Old Movies and TV Show DVD. Also, we got the Anime Release and the LOL/WTF Release, which both have BOOBS in them. So what ya waiting for, check after the jump to see what came out and see if there is anything you want.
Easter will be here in less than a week, which means that Walgreen’s has been forcing rabbits on you since December. If you’re tired of stale chocolate bunnies and pastel-colored junk but still want to get into the spirit (Wait, just how do you get into the spirit for Easter? No, seriously. The books say that a guy died and then came back to life. How does this turn into “Happy Easter?”), look no further. The five sly animated rabbits below will save you from pink Peep hell (and if you’re reeeeeally nice, I’ll give you a bonus character).
Fairy tales today are thought of as warm, fuzzy stories, but when the Brothers Grimm and others penned them centuries ago, they were disturbing works. Death. Cannibalism. Slavery. Rape. These are themes that are far too ghastly for Disney and their pink Princess machine.
Of course, society tends to aim for pleasing the dumbest of its citizens, so our fairy tales and nursery rhymes have been diluted and completely rewritten and retold over the years. Below, check out a few versions of the timeless tales that aren’t quite so sanitized as well as one that is.
