With the hype slowly slowing down into manageable levels for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, fans are  returning from their repeat-viewing of the film abd asking “Wait, where did Kylo Ren get that near-mint condition Vader funerary pyre collectible anyway?” Apparently, the story lies in the newly expanded universe of Star Wars fiction, specifically in Delilah S. Dawson‘s short story The Perfect Weapon.



The stars of the show when talking about the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens have definitely been the newcomers, such as Finn, Rey, and Kylo Ren.  Writer/director J.J. Abrams is making sure, however, that the newbies aren’t getting all the attention.  The original trilogy heroes have their own fair share of drama going on.  Questions and speculations have been arising over Luke Skywalker’s history, and the Millennium Falcon’s history as well- mainly, are Han Solo and Chewbacca still the owners?  One alteration that will get explained is the mysterious red arm that protocol droid C-3PO has been sporting, which a Marvel comic is set to address. Sure, August isn’t even half over yet, but that doesn’t mean we can’t look ahead to the fall. Or December for that matter. Of course, it’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens that we all want to hear about, see footage from, and digest every morsel about, and as luck would have it, Entertainment Weekly‘s Fall Movie Preview arrives this week to fill that gaping void in new Star Wars news that just wasn’t filled by that two seconds of the new footage from the international trailer. Are we spoiled? Absolutely. Do we want more? You’re gosh darn right we do! So get ready for some cool new photos from the biggest film yet to be released in 2015. (more…)


As you may or may not have realized, there’s been a lot of secrecy around the development of Star Wars Episode VII. In fact, so little’s been revealed that those of us who post nerdy news on the internet have more or less had make a big deal out of whatever random, could-be-plausible rumor, no matter how truthful of consequential those morsels happen to be. Hopefully, I didn’t just undermine the whole point of us, but let’s be honest, these are the bits we live for. So hold on to your butts, because here’s a totally legit sneak peak behind the scenes of Star Wars Episode VII. What if Chewbacca, C-3PO and Boba Fett all lived in Victorian times? Would they have sat still for hours to get a self-portrait made?

Personally, I believe they would – especially the Fett.
