Cameron Monaghan, who plays Jerome Valeska in the Gotham series, just posted a photo of himself looking like a ‘certain someone’ on Twitter and the internet can’t stop talking about it. The actor shared an image of himself online looking eerily similar to the Joker, before the photo was deleted only a few hours later. The Joker has yet to appear officially in the series, though fans have been teased by the Joker-like mannerisms of Jerome throughout it, although in a bizarre twist, he was later supposedly killed off. However, his upcoming return to the show has been teased heavily too, but now the big question is: who exactly will he be returning as? (more…)
One of the more memorable villains of Gotham was Jerome. He captured many of The Joker’s mannerisms and displayed psychosis very well on the show. The producers threw us a major curveball when they actually killed the character as he was made a sacrificial lamb for Theo Galavan’s rise to power. Jerome’s impact was made though as his psychosis seemed to infect people on many of its citizens. This led many people to believe that whoever the “real” Joker is, will be inspired by Jerome. However, with the release of the inmates from Indian Hill, we heard Jerome’s infectious laugh signifying that he is one of those who escaped and now at large.

Like many of you out there, when Cameron Monaghan showed up during the first season of Gotham playing a character who was rumored to be a young version of The Joker, I was less than impressed. He had a few moments, but for the most part the origin story lacked any sort of bang. But it looks like the folks over at Gotham aren’t giving up on Monaghan quite yet. In fact, they’ve just released some set pics that show the (possible) young Clown Prince of Crime in Action. Scroll on to check them out. (more…)
Gotham season one was a success for Fox, the Batman-prequel series brought in enough viewers to guarantee not just a full-season order, but an early renewal for the second season. But while audiences seem to be at least satisfied with what Gotham‘s doings, critical and fan reaction has been decidedly mixed. If there is a gripe to be had that’s universal, it’s the series’ obsession with skating on the hype of doing prequel versions of every last single member of Batman’s rogues gallery, but there’s still some members who haven’t got their time in the spotlight yet. On deck for season two, according to the producers, The Joker and Mr. Freeze. (more…)
Gotham Showrunner Bruno Heller told us he’d be teasing the Joker in the first season before the show even aired and fans and the Internet have been tracking all kinds of possible Joker teases since the series first premiered. We’ve gotten confirmed looks at a bunch of Batman’s villains in their pre-Batman versions. There’s the Riddler, the Penguin, Catwoman, Poison Ivy, Harvey Dent before the acid attack, and last night the origin of the Scarecrow. Now it looks like Gotham is ready to unveil Batman’s arch-enemy the Joker. (more…)
