Tim Burton has been doing the promotion circuit for his new film Big Eyes – which, surprisingly, doesn’t star a dressed up idiosyncratic-characteristic Johhny Depp, or a gothic looking Helena Bonham Carter – which is due to be released on Christmas day. Talking about everything from Beetlejuice 2 being closer than ever going into production, to how he has missed working with Michael Keaton, and now he has been talking about the superhero comic book genre and how much it has changed in the last 20 years. For those of you who have been living under a rock, Apple announced its latest tech toy yesterday: The iPad 2.
But why do people love Apple so much? Why will people shell out tons and tons of money for the latest tech from this particular company?
I, for one, never saw the draw. Until I was exposed to the iMac last year, and now I’m a convert. My old Windows laptop is growing dusty, and my gorgeous iMac works like a dream!
But, that question has always been nagging at me. Why?
Luckily, the folks at CollegeHumor, in a hilarious rip-off of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, have let us peak behind the curtain and show us the true nature behind Apple.
The internet once again shows me that they are amazing people out there with skills with Photoshop and ideas while my skills with MS Paint makes me look like a lint licker. Cracked.com recently held a contest for users to make propaganda posters from the universe of their favorite films. From Star Wars to Lord of the Rings, people bust some sweet looking posters and I could totally see these around in their respected movie-verse.
