“Ve haave vays of making you Hulk out Dr. Banner . . .”

The German “Avengers” trailer has hit the Uberweb. There is only a couple of seconds of new footage towards the end, but it is a fun couple of seconds.

Stark just being Stark.

When you are a “Genius, Billionaire Playboy Philanthropist” you can act like that around others and get away with it for quite a bit longer than the rest of us. It will be these kinds of moments though, that will make or break this movie. We already know the action will be great, the effects unbelievable, and the Black Widow poses sexy, but will the characters mesh as a team while still holding true to their core values?

Directed by fandom’s favourite son, Joss Whedon; Marvel’s THE AVENGERS stars Robert Downey Jr. as the iconic Tony Stark/Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Chris Evans as Captain America, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Clark Gregg as S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Phil Coulson, and Samuel L. Jackson as S.H.I.E.L.D. Director Nick Fury.

The star studded ensemble cast of super heroes are also joined by Cobie Smulders as S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Maria Hill, as well as Tom Hiddleston and Stellan Skarsgård who will both reprise their respective roles as Loki and Professor Erik Selvig.

Marvel’s THE AVENGERS opens on May 4, 2012.

Watch ‘The Cabin in the Woods’ Trailer

The eternally mysterious The Cabin in the Woods, the horror movie written by Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard, finally has a trailer. Made back in 2009, MGM delayed it to convert it over to 3d and then, after MGM’s bankruptcy placed the movie in limbo for the past few years. Luckily Lionsgate as snapped it up and is preparing to finally release it. Starting a pre-Thor Chris Hemsworth and includes Jesse WilliamsKristen ConnollyAnna HutchisonFran Kranz, and Richard Jenkins. Here’s the official synopsis:

Five friends go to a remote cabin in the woods. Bad things happen.

If you think you know this story, think again. From fan favorites Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard comes THE CABIN IN THE WOODS, a mind blowing horror film that turns the genre inside out.

Produced by Whedon and directed by Goddard from a script by both, the film stars Kristen Connolly, Chris Hemsworth, Anna Hutchison, Fran Kranz, Jesse Williams, Richard Jenkins and Bradley Whitford.

It sounds, and looks, like your standard ‘kids go to a cabin to bone and end up getting de-boned’ movie, however with Whedon writing and Goddard directing, we in for some surprises. You can check out the trailer after the jump.

Everyone knows that ‘Earth mightiest heros’ will not be a cohesive, tight-knit unit at the start of Joss Whedon‘s ‘Avengers’ movie. We all know what that means, heros butting heads and throwing haymakers against each other. With egos like Captain America, Iron Man and Thor, it’s a battle for leadership that has spanned multiple issues of the Marvel universe. This allied infighting could very well one of the top scenes every nerd wants to see on celluloid and it has been confirmed by the mighty Thor himself.

What kind of secrets did the god of Asgard let slip?

Chris Hemsworth, in a round about way, confirms what everyone wants to see: Super heros beating the crap out of each other. As to who will throw the first punch that remains to be seen, maybe it’ll be a Tony Stark/ Bruce Banner confrontation. Big balls, with an even bigger budget, audiences will have to wait until The Avengers assemble May 4th, 2012.

The Avengers stars Chris Evans, Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo, with Joss Whedon attached to direct a script written by Zak Penn and Whedon. The Avengers has an announced release date of May 4, 2012 in 3-D.

Note: This still of Chris Helmsworth as Thor is NOT real. What you are looking at is a FAN MADE photo, a fairly impressive one I might add. It comes from artic josh MC on fanartexhibit . Like many of us he wondered what approach the movies design team will take in adapting the comic characters trademark costume and making it into reality. We won’t actually know what Chris Helmsworth will look like for a few months (Thor starts shooting in January) but josh’s concept is probably better than anything they can come up with. Ok maybe the helmet is a bit ridiculous but the armor itself is a realistic approach to the source material. What do you guys think? via slashfilm
