Let’s start by saying that Guillermo del Toro‘s Pacific Rim was the pure definition of a popcorn movie. Mindless meaningless fun meant to dazzle and entertain without asking the viewer to get to invested into it. The kind of movie you just sit back, relax, turn off the higher functions and enjoy; right? Wrong. We are nerds and that is not what nerds do.

Get ready to nitpick!

The fine folk over at CinemaSins have turned their acerbic wit to the giant-robo-on-giant-monster epic to compile nine minutes of the movies most egregious errors. Truth be told, it is really hard to argue with some of these (and personally I loved the crap out of Pac Rim,) check it out for yourself after the jump. (more…)

CinemaSins Bashes ‘Green Lantern’

It’s time for another round of pissing all over movies, courtesy of the kids at CinemaSins.  This time around, a film that arguably deserves it, that 2011 Ryan Reynolds-starring pile of feces known as Green Lantern.  And though the video claims to be 6 minutes or less, it actually goes on for more than 7 (which is, in my opinion, still an hour or so too little for this flick).  Check it out below:

Thanks to ComicBookMovie for the heads-up.

Looking to laugh? Well, I hope you’re a fan of Star Trek or like to pick on the franchise mercilessly. Gathered here for your amusement are three videos, all hilarious for their own reasons. First, it’s Spock, Leonard Nimoy, versus Spock, Zachary Quinto in this funny sketch about a bet that’s somehow supposed to be selling Audi’s.

Too funny. My first thought, though? Holy shit, is Nimoy’s hair long! And, I about died when he started singing that Bilbo Baggins song.

Hit the jump for more!

CinemaSins is back again with the second video in a series that attempts to point out as many movie fails as possible in a 3-minute time frame.  This time around, the victim is The Avengers, a movie that’s got a certain degree of notoriety because of the many small mistakes in it.

So here it is folks, “Everything Wrong With The Avengers In 3 Minutes Or Less”.  Enjoy.

I can’t really agree with about half of these, especially since several of them are intentional comic book clichés, but they do have a point or two to make.

Remember, if you have a movie you want to see these guys tear apart, head on over to their YouTube channel and put in your request.  You never know if they’ll be bored enough to listen to what you have to say.

Thanks to /film for the heads-up.
