It looks like actor Craig Ferguson is going from good cop to bad news. The popular genre actor, best known for walking the beat as Sheriff Jack Carter for five years on Eureka, is joining the regular series cast of Haven for season four.

According to Deadline, the new season of Haven picks up six months after season three’s cliffhanger ending where the titular town was nearly destroyed by a meteor shower. Ferguson comes into the picture as William, a “handsome, mysterious stranger, whose secret agenda” involves Haven lead character Audrey Parker (Emily Rose).

It should prove interesting to see Ferguson play a darker character, as you may have inferred from his years on Eureka, Ferguson has a lot of comedic experience behind him as one of the founders of Second City Detroit and as a member of the Montreal improv group On The Spot. What will Ferguson bring to this world originally created by Stephen King? I guess you’ll have to wait for the new season of Haven to see.

Since Eureka wrapped Ferguson has guest starred on the series Happily Divorced and Primeval: New World. Meanwhile, filming of the fourth season of Haven got underway in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Four New Promos From Pixar’s ‘Brave’

Pixar’s track record is practically spotless (*cough* Cars 2), but I do wonder how a feature film with a (ginger) female protagonist will fair. It may sound incredibly sexist for me to say this, but female hero driven stories typically don’t succeed. Do I even need to mention Aeon Flux, Ultra Violet, or Catwoman? However, this is Pixar we’re talking about. They always delivered great stories. Plus seeing as The Hunger Games, a movie with a female protagonist as our hero, just raked in millions upon millions of dollars maybe the tired stereotype of women can’t lead an action-adventure story is dying. Still, it seems a bit of a gamble. I wish it well though.

Anyhow, Brave is about a rebellious princess named Merida who is so fed up with her mother, she makes a mistake that changes the fate of her kingdom. Featuring the voices of Kelly Macdonald, Billy Connolly, Emma Thompson, Kevin McKidd, Craig Ferguson, Robbie Coltrane and others, Brave opens June 22.

After the jump we have four new videos from the ginger adventure.

So a few nights ago on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Amanda Palmer of the Dresden Dolls, Steven Merritt of The Magnetic Fields and Moby performed a cover of “Science Fiction Double Feature” from Rocky Horror Picture Show. It was pretty nerd-rad-tastic. Oh! And Neil Gaiman was there. As you can see he mostly stands in the background adding a few notes from the mini piano when needed. But the crowd cheers him nonetheless.

They’re being billed around the net as The Neil Gaiman Band, which is even funnier after watching them perform. Who would comprise your ultimate nerdy band?

The Doctor Who clip the BBC didn't want you to see

If you were to look up Awesome in the dictionary, this would be the definition.

Matt Smith, the current Doctor Who, appeared on Craig Ferguson‘s Late Late Show Nov. 16. In honor of the occasion, Craig Ferguson and others performed a delightful song-and-dance routine that explained Doctor Who to people not familiar with it.

It was unaired.

Craig Ferguson said at the beginning of the show that five minutes before they started filming his producer told him they didn’t have clearance on the music. Later in the show he said that he hoped no unscrupulous person released it to the internet and if they did he’d see that they got promoted

We don’t know who originally leaked the clip, but we salute the the bastard that did. The clip is full of awesome!

I didn’t think I could love Craig Ferguson any harder… I WAS WRONG.

500x_betty-whiteOh goodness, Betty White. Is there a more fair, sexy, intellegent, sexy, funny, or sexy woman? I think not. In her hilarious visit to The Late Show with Craig Ferguson she discusses some of the Ipad’s better features. And her raging alcoholism?.. Just kidding, that wasn’t a question, she totally does. As well as throwing a few low blows to Toyota and Craig Ferguson. I just love saucy old women.. I don’t even know what that meant. I’m a little distracted. There’s a Golden Girls marathon on and typing with one hand is destroying my focus. I have to start pacing myself if I’m going to hold up through the marathon. Well, enough talk of my shameful masterbation rituals. Please enjoy!
