When the FOX Deadpool production team announced the casting of Gina Carano they also revealed that Colossus would be showing up in the movie. The first trailer for Bryan Singer‘s X-Men: Days of Future Past hit the Internet yesterday, and there was a lot to take in. What better way to explore what the trailer has to offer than having the film’s director talk us through it? (more…)
Remember back in April when Bryan Singer released that behind the scenes shot of Sir Patrick Stewart? It wasn’t just to tease us X-Men fans before Stewart started filming his scenes for X-Men: Days of Future Past, it was part of a series of character portraits, right in time for Comic Con.
Originally hosted on the official Tumblr page for X-Men, but now seemingly gone, the set revealed DOFP stars Ian McKellen, Daniel Cudmore, Patrick Stewart and newcomer Omar Sy in their alternate timeline attire with Hugh Jackman and his dual timelines also on display. Shortly after that, and thanks to Superhero Hype, X-Men: First Class alumni Nicholas Hoult and Lucas Till were also revealed. Take a first look at everyone below.
In keeping with his Twitter tradition, Bryan Singer is breaking more casting news about his next film, X-Men: Days of Future Past. The picture he posted today shows a wall full of headshots of the people he’s cast so far. Now you may recognize many of the faces, but there are a couple of faces on the wall that offer some new clues about who else might be part of the team in the upcoming film.
First, you may recognize the semi-familiar face of Daniel Cudmore, who played Colossus in both X2 and X-Men: The Last Stand. It looks like he’ll be back for Days, which, with the exception of Kelsey Grammer, more or less rounds out the X-Men team that was seen at the end of The Last Stand.
There are also two new faces on the wall. One belongs to Boo Boo Stewart, but no word on who he’s going to play. The second new face is Fan Bingbing, a Chinese actress who’s starred in films like Battle of the Warriors and Double Xposure. Bingbing is reported to be playing Blink, a teleporting mutant who was introduced in “The Phalanx Covenant” storyline in the X-Men titles, but became popular as a regular in the “Age of Apocalypse” series.
New and returning actors for Days of Future Past include: Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, Peter Dinklage, Omar Sy and Halle Berry.
More news as it develops.
