There’s an interesting bit of news coming out of the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story production, everyone expects that our favorite Sith Lord, Darth Vader will make an appearance or two in the film set during the height of his and Emperor Palpatine’s power. Although nothing has been confirmed, James Earl Jones has been doing the Vader voice work in Star Wars: Rebels and is expected to do the same for any big screen Vader appearances. That just leaves who might wear the suit. Someone has to wear it and as David Prowse can attest, who does it could make a huge impact of how the character is perceived. The latest rumor is that six-foot seven-inch tall Spencer Wilding (Guardians of the Galaxy, Jupiter Ascending) will be handling all on screen costumed appearances of Darth Vader. (more…)
Easily amongst the best movie villains of all time, if not *the* best, Darth Vader made a mark on cinema that goes far beyond his role as the heavy in the original Star Wars trilogy. Of course for fans, the badassness of Vader lost some points with the pathetic “No!” in Revenge of the Sith, but even George Lucas‘ own Brittaing of his franchise couldn’t ruin the awesome vide we all got of seeing Vader stand with the Emperor in front of the under-construction Death Star at the end of Sith, or his arrival as the big bad in the new season of the animated Star Wars: Rebels. But don’t call it a comeback, even if it looks like one, because sources now say that Vader will be putting an appearance in the first Star Wars Anthology flick, Rogue One. (more…)
Dude, What the Fuck? Apparently David Prowse A.K.A. Darth Vader has been BANNED from Star Wars Celebration V convention as well as any and all other Lucasfilm-associated events. Why? Well No one really knows actually. Bitches be cockblockin’. Prowse Says;
“It is with regret that I have been informed by my friends at C2 Ventures, Ben and Phillip, that I am not to be invited to C5 this year or any other Lucas Film associated events. After enquiring, the only thing I have been told is that I have ‘burnt too many bridges between Lucas Film and myself’ – no other reason given…I have also been advised by the promoter of Paris Manga in September that LFL (Lucas Film Limited) have requested no photo opportunities with the 501 Squadron, even though I am commander in chief of the 501”
Um, what the fuck did you do? Did you rape Lucas’ puppy? Try and Teabag his granny? Ask his wife to give you a blumpkin?!?! Lucas isn’t saying anything, prowse is being extremely vague. There is a ton of speculation as to what ‘burnt too many bridges’ refers to (see above…we bet it was the blumpkin.) We’ll update you as soon as more information becomes available.
