Welcome gaming bastards to another edition of G.R.O.W. This is NerdBastards weekly video game release list where we give y’all a heads up on what was released for the consoles and PC (and sometimes the MAC). We also cover downloadable titles as well.
Seriously, it needs to be next year to get the game releases back on track as once again, ain’t nothing being released in stores. However, if you do happen to own a Xbox 360, then there are two downloadable titles that are worth checking out.
We got a new expansion for Capcom’s Dead Rising 2 in the form of Dead Rising 2: Case West. Frank Mother F’n West is back and is ready to team up with Chuck Greene in order to prove Chuck’s innocence. If you enjoyed Case Zero and have ten bucks and want another excuse to bash some zombies, then Case West will surely get the job done for you gory bastards.
The next game is brought to you by Halfbrick Studios, you know, the folks that brought up the oh so addicting Fruit Ninja game. Well, this time they are bringing us some action-platform goodness (with a hint of puzzle element) in the form of Radskulls. If your a fan of Halfbrick and their previous work, then I highly recommend you to check this title out as it seems that they may have created another addicting game.
So what are y’all waiting for? Check out these downloadable titles and see if any of them will make your wallets cry!
The first day of the Tokyo Game Show happened and three companies have announced some games so far. EA revealed a new trailer for Alice: Madness Returns, which is a sequel to American McGee’s Alice. They also revealed a new game, Shadows of the Damned, which is a collaboration game of a team that includes Suda51 (No More Heroes, Killer7), Shinji Mikami (creator of Resident Evil), and Akira Yamaoka (did the music for the Silent Hill games).
Capcom also revealed some games as well, such as Asura’s Wrath, which some are already saying the story is like an Eastern/Asian version of God of War. Right off the success of Dead Rising 2: Case Zero, the 360 once again gets another exclusive DLC episode titled Dead Rising 2: Case West. Case West will be an epilogue to Dead Rising 2 and will star Dead Rising original, Frank West. Capcom’s biggest reveal was DmC: Devil May Cry. That’s right, Dante is back and this time… his a lot younger and doesn’t have the trademark silver hair (which is already causing a $h!t storm in the gaming community). DmC is being developed by Ninja Theory (Heavenly Sword, Enslaved: Odyssey to the West).
Other notable news is that Tecmo has announced that the Itagaki-less Team Ninja is developing Ninja Gaiden 3. Also, all signs are pointing that the PS3 will be getting an ICO/Shadow of Collossus HD Collection. Anyways, check after the jump for the trailers of the game that are mentioned above and see if there are any that you are excited for.
