Welcome gaming bastards to another edition of G.R.O.W. This is NerdBastards weekly video game release list where we give y’all a heads up on what was released for the consoles and PC. We also cover downloadable titles as well.
There are a few major title releases such as a game where you and your buddies can go around and kill folks assassin style, you got SEGA trying something with Sonic, a racing franchise that is trying to make a comeback and a game where Nintendo wants you to get it on. So what are y’all waiting for? Check after the jump to see if there is anything coming out that will make your wallets cry!
Leave it to good ol’ Nintendo to try to trademark something ridiculous in order to use it for advertisement purpose. Donkey Kong Country Returns is set to release later this month (Nov. 21st to be exact) and in order to promote DK’s return to the Country series gameplay, they went on to trademark the term “It’s On Like Donkey Kong.”
That’s right folks, the phrase that was featured in Ice Cube’s Now I Gotta Wet’cha will be used to get the new generation and old generation of gamers to play Donkey Kong on the Wii. Nintendo commented that the phrase has proved that DK is a pop culture icon and thus why they want to use it in order to promote the game.
Now I can only hope that Nintendo will try to trademark the line, “That ain’t a monkey hangin’ off ya back that’s Donkey Kong” from Project Pat’s Good Googly Moogly for their next DK game.
With E3 officially starting today, will Nintendo reveal anything big as they have people waking up early for their press conference. Will we see the 3DS or some sort of Wii HD to make gamers happy? Let’s just hope they don’t have another Wii Vitality Sensor moment and have another dumb add-on that only works for two games. Of course, they can make it all up with a new Zelda. Check after the jump to see what was revealed and announced.
