E3 2011

Machinima decided that a selection of the E3 Booth Babes needed to be quizzed on their gaming knowledge. That’s why those women got hired to front for those gaming companies in the first place isn’t it? I mean their not just window dressing, designed to attract hormone throbbing male gamers to the booth in an effort to promote the game. No gaming company would stoop so low as to use SEX to sell video games.

I have seen a lot of posts around the Internet about how people hate Booth Babes. For shame I say! Shame on all of those haters. Struggling new Porn actresses have to have some kind of gig to pay the bills before they hit it big. I just joking around, this E3 Booth gig has to pay better than the lunch crowd at The Strip House. Damn they so have a great lunch buffet at that place though, now I know where all the regular girls went last week. Oh, if your looking for me after the video . . . “I’ll be in my bunk.”

One of the most talked about games at E3 is Batman: Arkham City. The oh-so-anticipated sequel to Batman: Arkham Asylum won’t release until October 21st but it’s being played again and again by those lucky bastards at E3. G4 is you’re channel to keep up with what’s going on live at the convention and they talked to Warner Bros.’, Sefton Hill as well as showed off two lengthy demos of game play.

The first video shows quite a bit of game play as Catwoman. Oh yeah, if you haven’t heard you can play as the slinky feline, beating up thugs and stealing their diamonds. She’s a fully fleshed out character with her own moves and gadgets. Plus, you can crack her whip to disarm opponents or trip ’em up. Feisty. As you’ll be able to see in the video her story intertwines with Batman‘s.

Besides the addition of the massive map of Gotham to tool around in they’ve also improved the detective mode (hooray no more blue screen!) and added additional moves. The next video shows off some awesome new take downs and the fighting mechanisms have been amped to allow Batman to take on 25 thugs at a time!

When we mentioned this upcoming Batman and Joker themed first-person shooter before, it’s befuddling yet fun concept had us intrigued. With this trailer for Gotham City Imposters, debuted at E3, we’re still interested but still kind of confused. The game looks fun, that’s for sure. Everyone loves a FPS where you team up to destroy your friends, isn’t that the key to HALO and Call of Duty’s longevity? But why theme it with the super hero most closely associated with hating guns?

In this first trailer we learn more about the members of the Bats and Jokerz. These average Gotham citizens are inspired to take to the streets in an all out gang war, choosing sides and of course, a matching wardrobe.

Gotham City Impostors is a multiplayer game unlike any other, giving players the opportunity to rebel against conformity as they customize their own characters. Posing as amateur vigilantes or villains, gamers will create their very own Bats and Jokerz characters using unprecedented customization options including insane costumes, homebrewed gadgets and a wide range of traditional and imagined weapons.

All right, the premise is a little weak. And, I’ll admit having gangs inspired by Batman riddling enemies with bullets is really bizarre. Calling themselves the Red Hoods makes more sense, but that doesn’t have the name recognition the game creators are banking on. Honestly, this looks like a solid Jokerz game, and maybe it should be played that way if you have issue with the Bats using lethal weaponry.

Watch the trailer and give us your thoughts. Gonna give Gotham City Imposters a shot when it becomes available for download on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in 2012 or skip it, you like your Batman original rather than extra crispy.

With all the different ways to get the scoop on what’s good or not on the internet it can be a daunting task to find the right fit for you. So the Nerdbastards crew took the time to find a particularly interesting female whose take on comics, and games is quirky and funny. Fresh Ink! is hosted by lovely femme Blair Butler…. You’ve heard of her, right? Attack of the Shows resident Comic expert? Comedian and TV Show Host, and who was awesome enough to appear on the cover of Boost Gold #23? (if you haven’t well, you better start Googling her up)  Anyways, this week, Blair Butler gives us her take on the DC Reboot, comic pick of the week, and little ramblings about E3.

But don’t take our word for it, check out the full episode below, and tell us what you think!

By the way, all you bastards of nerds, we will be featuring the lovely Blair Butler as a weekly little treat every Sunday. So make sure to stop on by, for your daily dose of this gal and her crazy antics!

The trailers just keep pouring in, and E3 is less than a week away. With this plethora of trailers, we’ve once again compiled them all in our roundup. From sexy and improved Tomb Raider, down to fly mobsters with guns, we’ve got the anticipated and random trailers for games coming out soon. Now let’s get started!

Tomb Raider Trailer

Tomb Raider gets a new look and attitude that has all the boys wanting to come over to her yard, whether she has milkshakes or not. Square Enix’s reboot of the once invincible Lara Croft, now shows her as youth stepping out into the world only to face the cruelty of nature. After watching the trailer below, I can’t help but be astounded by the graphics and a part of me is more excited about this Lara Croft than the other one. The games release date is still unknown, but take a gander at the new Tomb Raider in this cinematic trailer.

Game Plot Synopsis:
Fresh from academy and in search of lost relics, a 21-year-old Lara Croft journeys to an island off the coast of Japan aboard the Endurance, a salvage vessel helmed by Captain Conrad Roth. Before anchoring at bay, the ship is cleaved in two by an unforeseen storm leaving Croft separated from any other survivors and washed ashore. She must endure physical and emotional torture in order to survive the island.

E3, the biggest video game Expo in the world, is a week away and yet there is already a shit ton of news and trailers hitting the net. Since we don’t want to bog down our main news feed with a bunch a announcements, we’ve compiled all of today’s gamer bits into one compilation.

After 14 damn years, Duke Nukem Forever is set for a June 14th release. In preparation for the long ass wait, 2K Games and Gearbox Software have released a trailer that has a bit of everything, including some T & A. If the trailer here doesn’t get you pumped to play as the bad ass Duke, then you might be able to get your hands on the demo. Word is going around that members of the First Access Club are getting redeemable demo codes e-mailed to them.

Next batch of news is that Konami just held their pre-E3 press conference. It seems that the company has gone on quite the HD Collection craze as they just announced three of them. First up is a Silent Hill Collection that will contain HD remake of Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3. The next two collections are games from the genius, yes I’m calling him a genius, Hideo Kojima. The Zone of Enders HD Collection will feature Zone of Enders and Zone of Enders: The 2nd Runner. The Metal Gear Solid HD Collection will be a collection of Metal Gear Solid 2, Metal Gear Solid 3, and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. All three collection will be available for both the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.

Speaking of Kojima, the man will not be at E3 and neither will be the game Metal Gear Rising. He will, however, be holding lectures on video game design this fall at University of Southern California. Who wouldn’t want to get a lecture from the man who once dumped a girl for erasing his Pokemon save file.
