The announcements made at this year’s E3 conference have heralded some enormous news for gaming culture. Games across the board are looking more exciting and engaging and realistic than ever. The new consoles and accessories launched alongside them are creating innovative new ways to experience gaming with every new release. One new trailer that turned every head in the room – and plenty across the globe, too – was for God of War, the new Playstation 4 game from Santa Monica Studios due for release early next year. The Nintendo stage at this year’s E3 convention was dominated by just two games. Along with a little more information about the new NX console coming out next year, Nintendo focused mainly on the upcoming Pokémon releases and the hugely anticipated new Legend of Zelda game, Breath of the Wild. Given that both franchises are decades old, the originality that have gone into the new games has certainly made Nintendo’s announements unique. Forget everything you know about The Legend of Zelda games. At today’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), developer Nintendo debuted a trailer and demoed their upcoming Wii U game, ‘The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wind.’
Be prepared to step into a world of discovery, exploration and adventure in this boundary-breaking game in the acclaimed Zelda series. As Link, you will find yourself traveling across fields, through forests and up mountain peaks as you discover what has become of the ruined kingdom of Hyrule in this stunningly beautiful open-air adventure.

This being the week of the Electronic & Entertainment Expo (E3), expect to hear a lot from the gaming world. The buzz this year is on new consoles and 4K compatability. It’s been 2 1/2 years since Sony released their PS4 (Nov. 15, 2013), Nintendo’s Wii U has been one year longer than that (November 2012), and Microsoft jumped in on Sony’s action as they debuted the Xbox One exactly one week after the PS4 (Nov. 22, 2013). Well, a day before Microsoft holds their press conference, details have emerged regarding their upcoming reveal of the new Xbox One Slim. The future of gaming is LIVE! E3, also known as the Electronic Entertainment Expo, returns for its 21st year on Tuesday, June 14th and runs through Thursday, June 16th. The event will feature press conferences and reveals from some of the biggest names in the video game business: Nintendo, Microsoft, Sony, Ubisoft, Bethesda, EA and more third-party developers! The expo, known for its history of being the event where major developers unveil new and upcoming projects, is already gathering a fair amount of buzz. With talks of new consoles from Microsoft , Nintendo (Nintendo NX) and Sony (PS 4.5) possibly being introduced or discussed, virtual reality (VR) devices for gaming systems, and a slew of games coming in the second half of 2016, you can be certain that video games will be the major focus of E3 this year. Now that the most wonderful time of the year for us gaming nerds has come and gone, I think it’s high time to get into the biggest hits and misses of what was, without question, a truly exceptional show. It’s difficult to think of another year (without any new console announcements) that was even close to matching this one in terms of excitement and excellent game announcements, and that’s really the best thing that could possibly be said about it. Games, games, games, and more games. You’d expect nothing less from Electronic Arts Expo (E3) ’cause, well, it is the biggest video game convention after all. But,this year has truly been one of the best in way of announcements and mouth dropping trailers. Microsoft, Playstation, and Nintendo all have new systems that have been out for a few years. Developers are now really catching up to the new platforms. There are so many titles rolling out between now and 2016.
Yesterday, we rounded up all the trailers and announcements for Microsoft, Ubisoft, and Playstation. Now we put together all the visual splendor from Nintendo.
While the Wii U didn’t get much reception upon its initial release, it has been trending lately thanks to those wonderfully cute Amiibos and the smash hit Splatoon. Then, of course, there’s Nintendo 3DS – the handheld gaming device that has stood the test of time.

This is turning out to be the most exciting E3 in ages. All the major players have come out in full-force. If you thought Microsoft and Ubisoft toggled your joystick, wait until you see what’s next. Well… you don’t have to wait – a new challenger enters. It’s Sony! George Miller’s Mad Max Fury Road is truly one of the most unique and adrenaline-fueled action films created to date. It’s packed with memorable and enjoyable characters and, of course, suped up monster cars. It’s filled with all the required thrills and spills – an all-out rush of visceral, kinetic power.
