There’s an interesting rumor starting to make the Internet rounds that Marvel‘s CCO (Chief Creative Officer) Joe Quesada had a hidden cameo in Netflix‘s Daredevil Season 2 finale, an Easter Egg if you will. Easter Eggs are always a great find, especially considering how they can boost your nerd cred. From Halo‘s mysterious Monkey-People to Mario Galaxy‘s Shadow People, we all love to obsess about the hidden possibilities behind arbitrarily hidden content. But if the still image of a bunch of blobs on top of a cliff can drive the Internet over the edge, then imagine what an actual dip-switch menu inside an arcade classic could do. We’re talking chaos, mass hysteria, dogs and cats living together, just by tapping the right buttons on your cabinet…

After so many fans saw the Deadpool movie in theaters on its opening weekend, eagle-eyed fans kept spotting more and more Marvel references, callbacks, and Easter eggs sprinkled liberally throughout the film.  While some references are blatantly obvious, certain others had to be altered in order to avoid legal action with Marvel and its parent company, Disney.  The creative team behind the film has slowly been giving fans further information about their intentions and ideas, and we were just recently given a big one.

Friday’s final Fringe was very middle of the road in terms of finales to beloved series: it didn’t offend with any out-of-left-field direction (“Starbuck’s an angel,” “Jerry and the gang go to prison,” “the whole series took place in a snow globe”), but it didn’t really surprise with any developments either. But for the fans that stuck it out through the time changes and the consistent on-the-bubble hopes for renewals, Fringe delivered a fine finale that blew them a kiss goodbye and left them with the feeling of having just eaten fresh baked cookies. All’s well that ends well. At least that’s how I see it. (more…)
