Netflix‘s Daredevil season two, part two trailer has hit the Internet and it is easy to see that Matt Murdock and Daredevil (Charlie Cox) both have their hands full. Although kind of overshadowed by the relative newness of Jessica Jones, let’s not forget about the show that started this new era of Marvel TV on Netflix: Daredevil. The new year will see a new season of the Man Without Fear on the streaming service, and it will see some well-known faces from Marvel Comics join the show as Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) quests to clean-up post-alien attack Hell’s Kitchen, which has become a wretched hive of scum and villainy. Now, with three days left till 2016, we’re bring given a good long look at Frank “The Punisher” Castle (Jon Bernthal), and Elektra Natchios (Elodie Yung) in the new season of Daredevil. (more…)
We didn’t get to see her in Daredevil Season One but she was clearly mentioned. Keen viewers who heard Foggy Nelson ask “what about that Greek girl?” when inquiring to Matt Murdock (played by Charlie Cox) about his former college fling, will have picked up on it as an obvious reference to Elektra Natchios; the on-and-off again love interest of Daredevil, who later becomes a Sai wielding deadly assassin and Ninja overlord.
Daredevil fans hoped this was more than just an Easter Egg, and that we would get to see the character integrated into Season 2; as she is such a central part of the Daredevil comic book mythos.
With filming currently underway, Netflix has announced the assassin/sometimes hero will indeed fill out the second season cast. And fans should be delighted to find that they picked the right lady for the job. (more…)
The sequel to the shit-tastic Rise of Cobra is now to be called G. I. Joe: Retaliation instead of the original Cobra Strikes. Paramount pictures has also given a release date of June 29th 2012 for the John Chu (Step Up 3D) directed picture.Yea… the dance guy is puttin’ his jazz hands all over this. *shakes head*
Members of the first G.I. Joe will return for the sequel including Channing Tatum as Duke, Ray Park as Snake Eyes and Byung Hun-lee as Stormshadow; kinda spoils the surprise there. Newcommers to the franchise are the likes of Dwayne Johnson as Roadblock, Elodie Yung as Jinx, DJ Cotrona as Flint, Adrianne Palicki as Lady Jaye, RZA as The Blind Master, Ray Stevenson as Firefly and Joseph Mazzello was just cast as a character named Mouse.
I have no idea what to expect, but I guess it can’t get an worse than the first film, unless the Joes break into song and dance.

You may know Ray Stevenson from Punisher: War Zone, Thor, and Rome. And, soon, you’ll also know him as Firefly in G.I Joe 2: Cobra Strikes, directed by John Chu. Firefly is an otherwise nameless Cobra contract killer, ninja master, and sabotaging dude (because I’m too cool to say “saboteur”). He’s a pretty badass character. We’ll see how this movie does him justice; if not, the film’s produces will be getting fuckin’ Punished. (Yes, I’m all up in the bad jokes today.)
Other cast members that have been confirmed for this film include: Channing Tatum, Dwayne Johnson, Adrianne Palicki, Elodie Yung, RZA and D.J. Cotrona. Shooting starts in Louisiana in a few weeks.
