While recently talking to that paragon of good taste and restraint, Entertainment Tonight, Dwayne Johnson gave the audience a chance to get a new look at G.I. Joe: Retaliation with a sample from the new trailer that is scheduled to drop sometime later today.
Now you have to plod through some typical ET fawning in order to get to the stuff you want to see, but when we do get to the footage one thing’s apparent: a beefed up appearance by beef cake (and sexiest man alive) Channing Tatum. Let’s role the clip:
I think that’s more Tatum that in all the other G.I. Joe trailers combined. I guess we’ll see for certain when the new trailer drops and we’ll have it for you here when it does.
I’m going to guess that this either for an upcoming broadcast or a recent one of Entertainment Tonight, as I would rather pass something the size of a golf ball through a nostril than watch that show, we’ll just leave it at that.
ET put up a nice little behind the scenes featurette for the forthcoming Total Recall reboot. By the sounds of it the movie (you can watch the stunningly awesome and far better than expected trailer here) will play a little closer to the source material, Philip K. Dick‘s “We Can Remember It For You Wholesale”, than the 80’s action flick with Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Hit the jump to watch interviews with with Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel. Sadly, it doesn’t sound like Biel is in the role of Kuato. Damn it, she would have been perfect!
It’s old news that there will be another G. I. Joe movie next June, called G. I. Joe: Retaliation. It’s directed by Jon Chu (who directed Biebs in Never Say Never) and stars Channing Tatum, Dwayne Johnson, Bruce Willis, Arnold Vosloo and Adrianne Palicki.
Entertainment Tonight has got a video of their visit to the set of Retaliation. We get a bit of a look into the set and some behind the scenes footage of some of the action bits. What I learned from this is that The Rock is a Belieber. (Heh. Yeah.)
I’m not very enthused about this film, but 2 minutes of watching the interviewer chick act like an airhead and hearing Dwayne Johnson talk about Justin Bieber isn’t necessarily time wasted. Check it out:
I think we’re all starved for some real action scenes from the upcoming Captain America Movie. I wanna see some Howling Commandos in action!
Let’s forget for a moment how the powers that be in Hollywood changed the name of the movie from “Captain America” to “The First Avenger” for the overseas market. Don’t get me started on that name change, every reason I’ve heard just makes me think of Pink Floyd’s song, “Money.” This movie should be an ass kicking hell yeah to what the US of A did in World War II. Imagine if we had not gotten involved, I shudder to think about it.
OK, back to the new footage. It’s really a tease from Entertainment Tonight, so you know the sound is too loud and scrambled, the clips way to fast and blurry. As much as I like the magazine I really get tired of the television show. It’s just too loud and glitzy.
So did you get anything out of that? I am glad that Cap has a gun, back in World War II, Cap carried one. I am hoping that against all odds this movie will really be fun and not some Hollywood stand on America’s history of war. What is your biggest fear about this film?
