Each and every week we scour the Internet for nothing but the best in nerdy art. We leave no digital stone unturned, we poke and prod every nook and cranny of the Interwebz. Why? Because we love you, and we love to bring you weekly feed of nerd art. On with the dump!

It don’t matter if your husband is one of the five brightest minds of the Marvel universe, If Namor is looking to break off a piece he’ll oil himself up more then a chippendales dancer. A collaborative piece by Jae Lee and Jose Villarubia this shows just how deadly the Sub-Mariner is when he’s sick of getting Dolphin tail. [Comics Alliance]

Nerd Bastards at Hal-Con 2012

As a writer for this site you might think that I’ve shared in most of the experiences that the other Nerd Bastards crew have taken part in, but that would be a misconception. There are a few things I’ve personally never been a part of and one of them is going to a convention. So, this past weekend I took part in the third year of Hal-Con, the largest science fiction convention of its kind in Atlantic Canada.

The event, as I’ve said, is only in its third consecutive year. Having begun back in October of 2010 with an attendance of 1500 people, it quickly expanded to an astounding 4000 visitors the following year. The event has a few staple shows that have since become fan favorites of the young convention, but those I’ll touch on later. For now hit the jump and I’ll give you the story of one nerd’s first convention at this year’s three day event.

The Shining is one of Stephen King‘s greatest spine chilling thrillers, which was later adapted into a spine chilling motion picture by  Stanley Kubrick.  Now, if you let Marco D’alfonso throw Deadpool in the mix, you’ll have the greatest comedy of the 1980s. No matter how dark and scary Kubrick would have tried to make the movie, Deadpool would have wasted the $19 million budget on rubber chickens and kool-aid. [Comics Alliance]

The Interwebz is a great place for nerdy art and the like. A lot of the time it’s crazy things like Autobot anal, Star Whores, a bush shaved like the bat signal and shit like that. But there are a lot of awesome things that we see on a daily basis, and we’re lazy nerd bastards so we just round them all up once a week for your nerdgasm glory.

This is what the Empire Strikes Back would have looked like if it was released by stop motion animation pioneers Rankin Bass. Yea, it’s cute now, but that tauntaun is not going to live through the snowstorm.
