Ever wondered who would win in a fight: The Dark Lord of the Sith or The Grey Pilgrim? For generations (well, like two), men have searched for the answer to that question, and now the gang behind the Super Power Beat Down have made a convenient web video to answer that question once and for all.
The effects are pretty solid, and its got some high production value in there, but be advised, if you don’t like how the fight turns out, it was the fault of the internet. The results were made via online voting. Like American Idol… with magic and Force lightening. And no singing.
I don’t know why Marvel doesn’t just release the whole thing online already.
But if you’d like to have The Avengers experienced further ruined for you, feel free to run the below clip featuring the title bout between Thor and Iron Man. I assume this is from some point in the movie just after the duo meet for the first time and have some kind of superhero misunderstanding. Either way, cool is as cool does, as they say
The Student Pocket Guide put together a live action video of a match between Ryu and Darth Vader (if you don’t know where they’re from, plz kill yourself). It was filmed using little to no digital effects and with a low budget. But it’s made of so much fuckin’ awesome. They even got a white guy who has had at least some martial arts training; my ninja background allows me to pick up on these things. And their in-camera special effects? Brilliant.
Check out their ass-kicking moves, and their badass black background technique below!
Earlier this week, we gave you the scoop on two high school students and their nerdy mock fight that got them suspended. Their ten day suspension was followed by a threat from their principal, Raymond K. Broderick, stating that their mock lightsaber duel could cost them being unable to walk at their graduation ceremony. The nerds/geeks of universes from far far away heard about this atrocious action taken, and united with FB pages, and petitions for these students to go back to school.
We’re proud to inform you, that after three days of joined mind-trickery from nerds/geeks everywhere, the principal lifted the suspension after three days and decided to let these silly padwans walk at graduation. Of course, to not look like a completely retarded Sith Lord, Principal Broderick stated,
“Suspensions carry the potential of exclusion from senior activities, including graduation night,” the principal added. “These incidents may have been poor choices on their part, but I am comfortable that they will all go forward and succeed and have learned from this. These are all great kids with super futures, and they understand the consequences of their action,”
I’m sure after hearing this everyone is in agreement that the Principal’s actions have obviously had him eating his own words. I mean come on. These guys had a funny little light saber duel in the cafeteria. They didn’t throw feces around, exploded toilets, or filled the halls with vanilla pudding. They just hit each other with PLASTIC lightsabers! Leave suspension to people who spray paint a nudie portrait on the schools wall, and explode toilets.
Usually when gamers get into an online fight, it just becomes a verbal fight fight filled with name calling, profanity, and questioning the other person’s sexuality. It usually ends there but if it does continue, it usually just drags on in the world of internet. Well, here’s one of those cases where the fight continue in the real world. 24 year old Eric LaChappelle (left) drove over to 18 year old Corey Chalich (left) after having a fight while playing some online match on the PS3. LaChappelle was apparently filled with rage as he assaulted Chalich to point where he had to receive hospital treatment. LaChappelle ran off when Chalich grabbed a knife and both men were arrested shortly afterwards.
Have any of you had a huge fight online that you wanted to go over the other persons house and beat them? This is why I turn off the chat function while I play online game. Some people just say things because they know they can get away with it. You know what we need, some button that let’s us punch them in the face through the TV screen (yeah I know, not an original idea).
Wednesday is here and with the release of our 18th podcastepisode comes the ever-popular question of the week! Question of the week is a question we ask you, our readers and listeners, and you answer it by either commenting to this post, or telling us your answer on facebook or twitter (@nerdbastards)! We choose the best answer on the Podcast and the winner will receive a prize if we have one available. (And this week we do, so ANSWER!) You will also see your answer written here on the weekly question post.
Last week’s question was ‘which video game babe would be the best to have a one-night stand with?’ The winning answer was submitted to us on the website by the user I-train: I don’t really care for the game, but I have to say Chun-Li; an asian chick with boobs and some monstrous thighs. Sounds like an awesome night already! Of course there’s a chance you could die from making the wrong move; totally worth it. Not to mention she’s like an international cop for INTERPOL or something, so she’s got handcuffs and MORE, if you’re into that sorta thing…
Congratulations, I-train, you won a copy of God of War 3 for the PS3. Contact us with your info at email@example.com to claim your prize.
THIS week’s question is a good one, so be sure to answer with your most clever and funny response because the prize is a t-shirt from bustedtees! The be all, end all site for your apparel needs.
