While we still have yet to see Michael Shannon in his Zod costume in any stills from Man Of Steel itself, this week we got a sneak peek of what the updated General will most likely look like from Mattel France. The toy company gave the world a glimpse of the line of Superman toys it plans on releasing this year–including tie-ins to Christopher Nolan and Zack Snyder’s highly anticipated reboot flick…..Et voila!
As we can see, it seems this iteration of the Superman villain has his very own Kryptonian crest. Otherwise, it seems to be nothing more than a form-fitting black bodysuit–simpler and more utilitarian that the gauzy, open-chested garb Zod and his cohorts sported in Superman II.
Mattel France also revealed photos of these miniatures–the Zod figure appears to be clad in some sort of Kryptonian armor, but whether a similar garment will appear in Man Of Steel is anyone’s guess:

So what if that ominous voice sounds like a pissed off midget, he sound’s like he means business in this one. Everyone’s favorites are back in this one: running, gunning, running and gunning. It’s like they know exactly what to give the prepubescent fans waiting to spend their hard earned allowance. Hopefully this doesn’t mean we’ll see historic war footage of a solider saying “LOL” as he crouches on his on a enemy combatant’s face.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 hits shelves everywhere November 8th, 2011 on X-Box 360, PS3 and PC
Some days I’m really happy I’m a child of the internet age, raised on pop culture references and the instant gratification the world wide web offers. It’s for days like this when I stumble upon something truly magical. Youtuber pissdrunxlondon‘s video combines the classic ingredients for an internet gem, random fights and lightsabers. You may already be familiar with awesome mash-ups like the duel from The Princess Bride with lightsabers but there is something delightful about having one take place in the real world, with old dudes. The original video is two old French guys fighting with, I don’t know, sticks, canes, who cares. The original alone is effin’ hilarious and we have no clue why they’re fighting, I don’t speak French, but Comics Alliance’s Caleb Goellner has a good suggestion,
I’d totally believe that, a worthy reason for any street brawl. But when you add in lightsabers this video only becomes better. My favorite part? One old dude keeps spare lightsabers in in his tractor, priceless. Enjoy it below, you can thank me later for bringing this hilarious venture in creative editing to your attention.
