With so many of the most popular comics nowadays revolving around such high adrenaline elements, it’s easy to forget about the average Joe’s of the comic world. Case in point: Archie comics; just regular teens going through regular high school drama. In an effort to revive Archie, Funny or Die writer/director Adam McKay and Archie Comics are teaming up for an Archie Broadway Musical. With past projects including Anchorman and Talladega Nights, McKay will surely inject the perfect doses of youth and humor into the musical, along with the companion book that he’ll write. The Riverdale gang is NYC bound, and Funny or Die will be co-presenting! (more…)

The More: (more…)
It’s an idea so stupid it’s a wonder that a She-Ra series hasn’t always been made for NBC already. Sorry if you clicked on this article and thought it was real news, but as it turns out it was just a hilarious notion the good folks at Funny or Die had.
In the below “preview,” which is heavily influenced by NBC’s attempted Wonder Woman series, we see Kylie Minogue as She-Ra battle Skeletor, get arrested for it, get busted out of prison by special guest star He-Man before launching into a “very special episode.” One also has to appreciate the attention to detail as well, as the fake ad perfectly parodies the real NBC ads.
Prepare to laugh (or die) by pressing play on the video below.

Once Upon a Time, During the London Olympics, Capt. Picard & Arya Stark Snuck Simon Pegg Into Ryan Lochte’s 400-Meter Relay
I’m telling ya, true story! See it all here, caught on film by Funny or Die. Sir Patrick Stewart is the Godfather of scalping. Maise Williams is the young street urchin who helps him steal a ticket from Olympic Gold Medalist, Ryan Lochte, which they then turn around and sell to actor, Simon Pegg. For Stewart, it’s the role of a lifetime and I for one hope this isn’t the end of Ticket-Tooth Phillip.
For real, can this get picked up for series?

At Nerd Bastards were posting new trailers all the time, so we know first hand that a lot of movies looks the same when they’re edited down into 2-minute promo pieces. Oh, and don’t think that Funny or Die didn’t notice. Ergo, the following trailer for Every Summer Movie Ever. In 3-D!
Of course not every movie in the clip is 3-D. Just sayin’.

Jason Biggs is known for many things — his leading performance in American Pie, also his work in American Pie 2, and American Wedding, and… are we sensing a trend? He’s the pie fucker, and that is what he will be until the day he dies. If the man cured cancer, the headline would read “Pie Fucker cures cancer”.
Luckily, Biggs isn’t outwardly bitter about the source of his notoriety, because, you know, there are worse things you could fuck to gain notoriety, i.e. Ray J.
How not bitter and totally okay with his reputation is Biggs? Check out his embedded video below that blends Thankskilling and The Godfather to portray the worlds very first incident of pastry initiated sodomy with a cobbler c*ck.
Funny or Die has released a parody video of The Hunger Games called The Hungover Games. This NerdBastard has gone through a few sessions of the Hungover Games through the years, most of us have.
Check out Chuck’s face when the “Drunk Tributes” walk into the arena . . . yep, that’s what ya think it is. It’s the little things like that that make this funny.
Save Nerdy Bits! Stop SOPA & PIPA! (Plus The Day the LOLcats Died, Yoda’s New Mobile Phone Commercial, Impressive Snape-Themed Bedroom and MOAR!)
Every day the internet produces
an astounding amount of goodies and gems. Most hilarious, some amusing, but all worth at least a few seconds of your time. We here at Nerd Bastards try to bring you the best bits of news and nerdery the webz has to offer, with a bit of snark thrown in. But sometimes not everything makes the cut. Monday through Friday we’ll be bringing you our inbox leftovers, our forgotten bookmarks, the nerdy bits that simply slipped through the cracks. You can submit items to Nerdy Bits by emailing us at email@example.com.
NOTHING if SOPA & PIPA aren’t stopped. If these controversial pieces of legislation were to pass you could say goodbye to amusing collections of funny shit on the internet, like Nerdy Bits.
Above: The Joy of Tech illustrate the internet blackout of 2012, happening today in protest of the damaging legislation SOPA and PIPA. And while yes, the blackout could help get you laid, you won’t be able visit many of your favorite sites. Here’s a list of websites currently blacked out in protest. (Laughing Squid)
Don’t know what SOPA , or it’s sibling PIPA, are? Let’s educate! What is SOPA? by Gizmodo gives a great and easy to understand explanation. But so does this animated clip from The Oatmeal, and it involves jet skis and koala/goat love, making it much more amusing.
Do your part to stop SOPA and PIPA. As of now SOPA has been shelved, but it’s not dead, it could rear its ugly head again. PIPA, it’s Senate counterpart is still going strong. Call your senator and tell them you want to keep the internet a cool, hip place where we can laugh at Arnold Schwarzenegger parodies and Skyrim memes until we too take an arrow in the knee.
Please guys, do it for the LOLcats.
Funny of Die has finally answered the burning question that has troubled many of you for years:
Why hasn’t there been a Baywatch/Twilight/Monster Hunter televison show?
Now we have our answer – Malibu Days: Nights stars Casper Van Dien (Starship Troopers) as a lifeguard by day and a monster killing detective by night.
What the hell else could a NerdBastard want? Slow motion bathing suit running scenes on the beach turning into smoke filled nights running down sparkling vampires. Really could there be more smoke or fog in this?
Unless you’ve been living in an Internet cave in some far mountain you’ve seen a video or two from Funny or Die’s Drunk History series. If you have not . . . well I guess that’s what NerdBastard does. Introduce you to those funny nerdy things you might have missed because you have a life with real world responsibilities.
Comedian Allan McLeod painfully attempts to recite The Night Before Christmas after having drunk half a bottle of whiskey (Like your Uncle Ralph), but thankfully, Ryan Gosling, Jim Carrey and Eva Mendes chip in to help reinact this drunkenly complicated story of Christmas magic. Who can remember all of Santa’s reindeer sober is all this NerdBastard has to ask.
