Is it really that shocking that the folks over at Game of Thrones would make an unprecedented move? HBO has announced that no advanced screeners will be going out to any press outlets during season 6 of GOT. It’s a move sometimes pulled by film studios expecting poor critic reviews, but in the realm of major tv series, this is a first.  Especially after the first 4 episodes of GOT‘s season 5 found its way to torrent sites last year, it’s understandable that HBO would amp up their security measures. Plus, with all of the loose ends we were left with last season (mainly the fate of Jon Snow), it would be a shame if any plot points were spoiled. (more…)

Some fans are a little worried about spoilers going into this season of Game of Thrones; and understandably so.  The HBO series has surpassed the events of the most recently released installment of the A Song of Ice and Fire series: aka, their source material.  George R.R. Martin, author of the series, assures fans that there will be some events in the book that will be virtually impossible for the show to spoil. (more…)

The footage also includes clips of returning shows like Silicon Valley, Veep, and Girls; new shows like Vinyl, Westworld and High Maintenance; and some upcoming movies such as All the Way and Confirmation. Game of Thrones has reached a really exciting point.  After the Season 5 finale, the show has officially caught up chronologically with George R.R. Martin‘s A Song Of Ice and Fire series.  It will be different going into Season 6 now for viewers, because they won’t have one of the books as a cheat-sheet of sorts, letting them know what’s ahead- we’re in new and uncharted territory.  The only thing we have to guide us in our plot guesses so far are some interesting casting additions; such as, most recently, Ian McShane.  He’s totally playing into GOT fans’ penchant for creating pretty impressive plot theories, though, by giving us a major hint as to who he’ll be portraying.  Warning- spoilers ahead!
