Do you remember Pokemon (the GameBoy game, the card game, the animated tv show, other video games, and all the other stuff)?
Back in the day, when it first came out, I played and enjoyed the game. Hell, I even watched the show and collected some cards. But, after so many years, HOW is it still popular??
The solution is as simple as the slogan – “Gotta catch ’em all.”
Kids love collecting and finishing something, especially if it involves monsters and fighting, so it embraces the obsessed and compulsive parts of people’s heads and causes them to spend hours and hours playing.
To give an insight into just how silly the anime show was (and, by comparison, the actual game), YouTube user DJChlorine created a 2 minute re-cap of the first episode of the Pokemon tv show. It is simultaneously NSFW, hilarious, and spoils everything about the episode. It must be seen to be believed. Check it out after the jump.
2 Things. 1.) the chances of this getting you laid are mathematically insignificant 2.) It’s actually kind of adorable. Also he get’s bonus points for renaming all his high level Pokemon just for her (in case you weren’t in the know, you can only do this once). Is this the Nerdiest way to ask someone out? Probably. Have a better story? Let us know in the comments. Check out the picture in it’s full sized adorableness after the jump. (more…)
Whether you’re getting laid or not, this is fucking awesome. Granted it’s more awesome if you actually get to put it on your penis and then put your penis in a vagina. Artist Ben Marsh (check out his homepage here) created these badass packages for a sexual awareness campaign. Hang out after the jump for some up close pics and pixelated boobies! (more…)
