Frank Miller‘s neo-noir comic series Sin City has held a special place in the hearts of comic fans since it was first published between 1991 and 1992. Through the interweaving stories of the citizens of Basin City, it explored humanity’s deepest, darkest instincts, pitting prostitution rings and drug cartels against a force of corrupt police officers who are armed to the teeth and willing to use their paramilitary power to own the city through brute force. There are endless possibilities for gripping and exciting stories that could occur in such a city, and writers, artists and filmmakers are well aware of this. (more…)
