Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

To be completely honest, every time I read the title to this new ride, all I hear is Tony Soprano calling his son AJ “googootz”. My brain is weird.

Universal Orlando has finally confirmed details regarding the new signature ride at the soon-to-be-opened Diagon Alley expansion of “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter” (a place I will go simply to gorge myself on butter beer). The Harry Potter and the Escape from Googootz — excuse me, Gringotts — ride will feature vehicles that seat twelve folks and carry visitors “through a Harry Potter story featuring villains, dragons and goblins.” Today, Universal revealed a bunch of new details on the theme park attraction, including Harry Potter and the Escape from Googootz photos and concept art.

Whether  tall, wide, thin, short, shy or not the different fiction creatures in films have endeared us to them through their interaction with the lead character and their persona through the films. While some may be creatures who can speak the human tongue, others cannot. Yet, we understand what they say and how they feel, so with this in mind how do we react towards their deaths. In this top ten list we boil down sad deaths, and sift them down to the ten saddest. We start our list off with one of the tinniest creatures in the world that is said, to scare elephants. (at least in cartoons)

The countdown begins for Harry Potter and, thanks to Collider ; we get 9 new (some we’ve featured already, but oh well twice is nice) clips of this year’s highly anticipated finale chapter to this expansive and jaw-dropping movie franchise. Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Prt 2 is set to hit movie theaters in 3D, 2D, and IMAX 3D on July 15. If you’ve been living under a rock for the past few years, this David Yates-directed film stars Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, Helena Bonham Carter, Robbie Coltrane, Warwick Davis, Tom Felton, Ralph Fiennes, Michael Gambon, Jason Issacs, Alan Rickman, David Thewlis, Julie Walters, Bonnie Wright, and Kelly Macdonald.

While many may be crying, I will surely be toasting to a great run at immersing us in such a vivid world  that will be remembered by every age for years to come. Go down to the comment box below  and tell us what you think about the final Harry Potter film, or tell us what your favorite film has been so far ‘cause if you don’t another point goes to the Slytherin house!

Last night the MTV movie awards was taking names, handing out rewards and trying to make Jason Sudeikis funny to an audience outside of America. While they didn’t do so well with Jason, they just nailed it with a real treat of an award show and sweet sneak peak looks at this year’s hottest movies. Now you’ve already seen the Twilight: Breaking Dawn we posted earlier, but we only touched on a piece of the movie trailer pie. In this round up we take at look at a the final Harry Potter movie, another new trailer to Rise of The planet of the Apes and a trip to the R-rated Fright Night.

We’re off to the movies

For the ladies that love their men rocking glasses and sweet scars we have a look at Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. This clip teases the big Harry-Voldemort face-off that’s been hinted straight from the get go. Warning to those with sensitive eyes this scene below is a major spoiler of what’s to come.

2011 MTV Movie Awards, Movie News

It’s the end. For many fans, myself included, it’s the end of a huge chunk of a lifetime. I read the first Harry Potter book when I was in eighth grade and now, when I’m 24, the final movie based on the series of books is being released. Seriously, where has the time gone!?

This video from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2‘s Facebook page gives us a little sneak peak of the climax. It’s action, action, action! Basically, what time in the first film was devoted to wandering and camping in the words is packed full of exciting adventure this time. And dragons. And crazy, roller coaster-like rides through Gringrots. And of course, the epic showdown with You-Know-Who.

Deathly Hallows Part 2 won’t be releasing until July 15th so we’ve got plenty of waiting time. But that doesn’t mean we won’t be seeing tons of promotional material until then. I expect this is the only the very beginning of all the teases Warner Bros. will be throwing our way. So stay tuned, we’ll be bringing you all the Harry Potter finale news you can stomach! Then, when you explode from wizarding world overload, we’ll be giving you more!

Watch the video below and tell us what you’re most excited to see in the final film? And maybe what you’re afraid will be cut out? I’m know I’m gonna pull a major nerd and be really particular about certain deaths which I don’t want to reveal here. But if you’ve read the book you know some very dear characters aren’t given a proper send off, as in they happen off page! What the hell, Rowling?!

Dumbledore DIES! *Evil laugh* I just spoiled Harry Potter for you. Wait.. everyone knows that now? Fuck, I remember when that spoiler use to mean something. Now all I’m left with is a small penis and jar full of broken dreams.

Anyway, as most of you know there is loads of death in J.K. Rowling‘s Harry Potter novels and subsequent movies. Each one more painful than the last. They’re like the equivalent of watching Bambi’s mother die, while at the same time slamming your genitals in a sliding glass door (ladies, you can play too. Bologna origami. Go!).  Death in fiction and in real life is painful enough as it is. Now why would you go and make it worse? What am I talking about? Well, due to the authors blessing  one of those memorable demises has been tampered with in Deathly Hallows Part 2.

If you are a Harry Potter fanatic there is a good chance the following news will send you reeling, best not to look. For everyone else that doesn’t give a shit, you can just move along.

WARNING: This is a pretty big spoiler. Turn back while you still can!

Although it’s not much, somewhat official details of the final installment of Harry Potter,  Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows has been released.  Initially, a Brazilian website posted the synopsis but HP reps wouldn’t confirm as to whether or not the site’s info was correct.  More recently a French website has posted the same synopsis (not really sure how this confirms anything, but whatev).  Despite barely giving us enough to assuage our hunger for more Harry Potter, it is just enough to get us excited for the end of this epic journey.

“In the second part of the epic finale of the series, the battle between good and evil in the world of magic becomes a war between hundreds of sorcerers. The stakes have never been higher and no place is safe. Harry Potter must make the ultimate sacrifice, as the final confrontation with Lord Voldemort approaches. Everything ends here.”

Here’s a suggestion for all of you half-tards who want more details about the 2nd installment of the 7th movie.  Wait for it… Read the book, yeah?  It will give you everything you want to know about what’s gonna happen in the movie so you don’t have to wait for half-ass crap news like this to leak out.  Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, starring Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson hits theaters July 15th!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1

The movie adventures of Harry Potter have been a mixed bag, with some movies becoming just as beloved as the books. The other movies, however, faltered due to the huge amount of content that had to be culled from the books to fit in a 90 to 120 minute movie.

That’s why, when Warner Brothers announced that they were splitting the seventh Harry Potter movie into two separate parts, I was actually thrilled! By doing this, they would be able to give fans of the books (as well as the movies) a proper send-off. And by the looks of this trailer, it is going to be one hell of a movie!

There are so many elements of the trailer that bring back vivid memories from the book (such as: Dobby! Bill and Fleur! The Seven Potters! And more), and along with the substantially darker theme, these final two movies have the potential to be the best of all. The first part of the epic two part finale storms into theaters November 19th, with the final installment on July 15, 2011.

What are you still reading this for? Go watch the amazing trailer already!
