We’ve loved seeing the awesome viral marketing and trailers that Warner Bros. has been releasing for Man of Steel, we also loved it when they released a slew of new images. The marketing team for the director Zack Snyder‘s Man of Steel recently released a series of high resolution images from the set, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly.

Most of these have already been seen, but at least there’s a first look at actress Antje Traue as Faora in her full Kryptonian costume. Even though Antje looks physically intimidating as the follower of Zod, her armor isn’t as heavily built as those already seen worn by Michael Shannon and Russell Crowe. It looks like something out of Skyrim honestly, but if you’re looking for a computer background now’s your chance Superman fans.

After nearly three long years of waiting, Marvel fans are finally getting what they’ve been begging for – a Wolverine solo feature that doesn’t suck. And it’s all thanks to James Mangold. With The Wolverine trailer releasing within the next month, James is deep into editing this action/adventure film. But he’s still taken a little time out to show us all one disgruntled looking Canuck.

From the editing bay, where the final cut of the currently unrated film patiently awaits, the director took to the film’s Twitter page to release a brand new still from production.

Featuring Jackman in the title role and at an unknown location (none of us read Japanese), the mutant warrior looks like he’s about clear the room with some of that signature rage. Just the way we like it. Here’s a look at the image along with a message from James:

Just what is it that has our mutant hero all worked up in The Wolverine? Did someone accidentally spill his beer? Is an enemy from his past looking to settle an old score? Perhaps some jerk foolishly insulted the great sport that is hockey? Whatever’s going on in that shot it doesn’t look like it will end too well for whoever is in Logan’s line of sight and should make for some quality family fun for the audience.

Based on the celebrated comic book arc, this epic action-adventure takes Wolverine, the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern-day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world he faces his ultimate nemesis in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality, emerging more powerful than we have ever seen him before.

The Wolverine, starring Hugh Jackman, Will Yun Lee, Svetlana Khodchenkova, Hiroyuki Sanada, Hal Yamanouchi, Tao Okamoto, Rila Fukushima and Brian Tee opens in theaters everywhere July 26th, 2013.

Sure, we’ve all seen the leaked shots from the set of James Mangold‘s The Wolverine showing off Hugh Jackman looking – once again- ripped to the core. We get it, he’s the pinnacle of  masculinity.  One thing, though,  those leaked images never confirmed if Jackman’s shorter hair style was official.

Now the first official image of The Wolverine has been released by 20th Century Fox, which is based on the Chris Claremont and Frank Miller‘s 1982 limited series. And, judging by the first look, Logan is keeping the much shorter locks – Oh joy.

I for one actually welcome the new look. Not the veined out shirtless Logan. That’s always impressive to those of us that get their exercise from a Wii fit. It’s the hair… it no longer looks like it’s going to spread wings and fly.

There’s no real details you can get from this other then he’s in a temple and adamantimum claws mean shit is about to go down, look’s like a blast so far.

The Wolverine is scheduled for release July 26th, 2013.

It’s had a history of off-and-on progress almost as long as the rewriting for Ghostbusters 3, but thankfully the Mad Max franchise has never had to deal with Bill Murray. Finally, after 27 years of hold ups, as well as various writer and cast changes, George Miller has delivered us to the “Tomorrow-morrow Land” we’ve all been waiting for.

Get those shotgun shells saved up everyone, Mad Max: Fury Road has finally started shooting!

First shots from the set have been leaked for this new film.  Dark Knight Rises star Tom Hardy is taking over the role synonymous with Mel Gibson. Co-starring alongside Hardy will be fellow Prometheus star Charlize Theron.  This prequel to the Mad Max franchise will reportedly have Max protecting a group of women known as the “Five Wives” when a group of wasteland baddies tries to take down their caravan.

Check out the images below.

These images not only give us a little insight to the scale of the vehicles being used, like that tough-looking, black, gas-truck rig, but also some close-ups of several actresses in the cab of a vehicle. Could these ladies be the fabled “Five Wives?”  Special thanks to Newscom for the close up shots, but other than that we have little to go on. We can’t wait to see what Tom is going to look like dressed as the former Main Force Patrol officer.

Here’s a theory though – even if this is called a “prequel” in the eyes of producers and the studio, could this film be an event that bridges the gap between Mad Max and Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior or the first in a possible prequel trilogy? Maybe, but as we said only a theory. What about you guys, any ideas as to just where this will take place?

Now that all that Avengers hype is out of the way, we can put our comic turned minds towards something a little darker. Today, a fresh batch of posters from The Dark Knight Rises have been released on the intertubes and they appear to be of the international variety, so don’t go looking for them at your local (North American) theater.

The posters are character-centric, three characters in particular, with phrases like “Rise” and “The Legend Ends.” They feature Batman, Catwoman, and Bane, and I guess that’s all there’s left to say about them. Check out the image gallery below to see the full poster.

What do you think, Bastards? Quality posters? (More) excited to see TDKR?

I know a lot of people are feeling overwhelmed due to the sheer amount of The Dark Knight Rises spoilers flooding the interwebz. I’m exhilirated! Besides, it’s been proven spoilers don’t affect your enjoyment of something. And I’m still theorizing we’re only being shown the tip of the iceberg with all these sneaks and peaks. Christopher Nolan still has lots of surprises in store.

Super hero movies might be on they’re way out, but I feel if the genre is hoping to be reinvigorated they need more films like Griff the Invisible. Griff (Ryan Kwanton) is your average guy doing what he can to protect the innocent at night and trying his best to not explode at his mundane, office day job. All of this works quite well until he meets Melody. There’s always a girl, isn’t there? This quick summation might sound stale but give the trailer a watch, it’s surprisingly fresh and fun. Griff the Invisible looks to be a blend of the dark alley beat downs in Kick-Ass paired with the tender love story of Scott Pilgrim, will it succeed?

One things for sure, it’s a nice change of pace to see Kwanton as the awkward Griff after his turn as sex-panther Jason Stackhouse in HBO’s True Blood (a little nod for those of you current with the series). Watch the trailer below and let us know if you’ll check out Griff the Invisible when it releases in select theatres, August 19th.

Griff – office worker by day, superhero by night – has his world turned upside down when he meets Melody, a beautiful young scientist who shares his passion for the impossible.

By day Griff (Ryan Kwanten) is an everyday office worker, in an everyday town. He lives a secluded life, bullied by co-workers (Toby Schmitz) – his protective brother his only friend. By night Griff assumes his other identity, roaming the dark streets protecting the innocent and the vulnerable from the dangers that lurk in the shadows – he is the hero, GRIFF THE INVISIBLE.

Increasingly concerned by Griff’s eccentric behaviour, his brother (Patrick Brammall) attempts to draw him back into the ‘real world’. In doing so he introduces Griff to Melody (Maeve Dermody) an equally eccentric and charming girl.

Fascinated by Griff’s idiosyncrasies, which are equal only to her own, Melody begins to fall for Griff. As Griff is forced to face up to realities of a mundane world, it is up to Melody to rescue GRIFF THE INVISIBLE for the sake of herself, Griff and their love for each other.

If you’re familiar with the recent string of Marvel films you know after the credits they slip in a little tease about their next feature. Thor will be no different and the little spoiler has found it’s way to the web. Unfortunately, the video was quickly pulled, but not before valiant bloggers were able to record what they saw.

Click the jump for a summary of the post-credits scene as well as a gallery of new hi-res images featuring Thor, Loki, Sif, Agent Coulson and the Warriors Three.
