This season of The Flash has been a blast. You can read Nerd Bastard’s review here. We got to see Earth-2, Cisco discovered even cooler powers, we got to see a better version of Harrison Wells, and got yet another badass speedster bad guy in the form of Zoom. Once again Barry Allen was tested in ways he could never imagine. Just like in the end of season one, season two opened the doors for eve crazier storylines for next season. We might actually get to see the Flashpoint storyline next season, crossing fingers.
When the main adversary of the week is an over-sized man shark, you’ve already got the right bait (yeah!) for a great episode of The Flash, but with a two-week coming up, the show need a hook (boo-yeah!) to make fans invested in the final third of season two. So it was a pretty big deal when last night we finally got a look under the mask of Zoom, and saw who he really was. Hint: it was not Tony Todd. Some fans are surely collecting on bets made with friends today because yes, Zoom is someone we know, and it was one of the most likely suspects strongly hinted at in the last couple of weeks. One of the coolest moments in the The Flash season finale, and there were a lot of them, was the moment that the helmet of Golden Age Flash Jay Garrick was suddenly spit out of a wormhole. You could say that it opened up a whole new world to the The Flash. Huh? Okay, now that that’s out my system, let’s talk about Jay Garrick. He will be played Masters of Sex’s Teddy Sears when the second season launches in a few weeks time, and is one of numerous speedsters that will be introduced on the show from Flash lore this year. Now that we’ve gotten Arrow out of the way, let’s talk about his fast moving colleague, The Flash. Yes, The Flash was also at San Diego Comic Con, and the cast and crew revealed some details about what fans can expect in season 2. First and foremost, obviously, is to resolve that big wormhole over Central City problem that the series left off with. Of course, the Flash will beat the wormhole, and then we’re off to a new season, with new stories, and new characters that will be very familiar to comic book readers and fans of the DC Comics speedster.
