supergirl

Nerds, geeks, super-fans – whatever you’d like to call us, one thing is for sure: there’s going to be a lot of cool stuff for genre fans to check out on TV this Fall.  Information on most of the new (and returning) projects has been moderately available, and it’s always nice when the studios themselves offer up direct access for the fans.  In advance of the new Supergirl TV series coming to prime-time on CBS this Fall, the network has released a 3-minute behind-the-scenes featurette designed to give fans some advance info on the new caped crusader in town.

‘Supergirl’ Casts A Tatum as Lucy Lane

With Supergirl now in production we’ll be eagerly anticipating the knowledge of which DC Comics characters will be showing up on the series, you know, aside from the several comic book characters that are part of the main cast. Casting is fun. Especially for comic book movies and TV shows because there’s always at least half of the fanbase outraged about who got hired to play who. American Horror Story: Asylum is set to premiere on October 17 on FX. Which, for me, is flippin’ fantastic. Mrs Nerd Bastards and I just started watching the first season on DVD. We love it, by the way. Most fucked up show we’ve seen on TV. Ghosts, gimps, sexual perversions and fantastic acting (Jessica Lang is amazing). Anyway, while we’re finishing up the season, the rest of you might like to know you can watch the first 5 minutes of the second season.

Mrs. NB and I have a few eps. left, so we dunno how it ends. I have wondered, though, how they could do a second season. What more could they do with it? I mean, how many more dead people can they keep introducing. Well, I’ve just been served a can of “shut the hell up” because,  creator Ryan Murphy started basically from scratch for the second season. New cast members include Adam Levine, Jenna Dewan Tatum, James CromwellJoseph FiennesLizzie BrocheréChloë SevignyChris ZylkaFranka Potente, and Clea Duvall. Jessica LangeZachary QuintoEvan PetersSarah PaulsonLily Rabe, and Frances Conroy are all returning, but each will play different characters than they did in the first season. I dunno how all that’s going to work out, but I’m certainly curious.

The clip shows Levine and Dewan Tatum as newlyweds on their honeymoon taking a tour of haunted sites. Watch it below:
