We’re getting closer to the October 8th premiere date for FX‘s American Horror Story: Freak Show. Ryan Murphy’s horror anthology series ‘American Horror Story’ is unique in that every season is a new tale with new characters, using mostly the same actors. They effectively tackled the ghost story theme in season 1, went batshit crazy in season 2’s insane asylum, and dealt with modern day witches in last year’s ‘Coven.’ Fans of the show were ecstatic to learn this season’s ‘Freak Show’ would have a carnival setting. Obviously Murphy and friends have yet to run out of unsettling ideas. And in true series fashion, the marketing has been pretty spot on. In promotion of their sideshow fright show in 1950’s Jupiter, Florida, the series has released a poster and a few teasers. The latest chapter in FX‘s horror series American Horror Story, American Horror Story: Coven is coming to television this October. It all about the secret history of witchcraft in America. The production has an incredible ensemble cast including Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Sarah Paulson, and Frances Conroy. The show’s main title sequence has hit the Internet and it’s got all the creepy, “there’s someone behind you,” feeling that any horror fan could hope for.

The series promises to disturb your sleep and often delivers just that with visions that won’t help you get a good nights sleep. The show debuts on October 9th, just in time to get you in the mood for Halloween.
