Marvel Drops ‘Inhumans’ From Its Schedule, For Now


Marvel have been talking about making an Inhumans movie from as early as March 2011, and there has been no shortage of tantalising updates in the time since. Stan Lee was reporting talking about development in 2012 and a script by Joe Robert Cole, who also wrote the Black Panther movie due for release in 2018, was said to making good progress in the summer time of 2014. Word is making the Internet rounds today that Marvel is in final talks with Joe Robert Cole (Amber Lake) to handle the scripting chores for Black Panther starring Chadwick Boseman (41, Captain America: Civil War). Not only that, but when you take a peek at Cole’s IMDB page, you’ll see that Inhumans (2019) is also listed. Could Cole be at the forefront of Marvel’s third phase of characters? (more…)


It looks like this is the phase of Marvel Studios development where they’re going to strut. After Guardians of the Galaxy proved that a comic book based on an out-there concept couldn’t just be turned into a competent film, but the smash hit of summer with all audiences, Marvel looks ready to push again by finishing a script based on a bunch of characters even more out there than the Guardians, the Inhumans.
