Still a month to go before the Season 3 premiere of Robert Kirkman and AMC‘s The Walking Dead. Don’t worry though, anxious fans can cure that uncomfortable itch brought on by The Walking Dead hiatus and feed their zombie habit with four five-minute episodes of the new web-series Cold Storage. The series debuts on AMC October 1st.

The series is directed by The Walking Dead‘s special effects wizard Greg Nicotero and features several recognizable faces  including Daniel Roebuck (Lost – Dr. Leslie Arzt) and Cerina Vincent (Cabin Fever).

Don’t get your hopes up though, the word is that the webisodes will feature all new characters and will not have any surprise appearances from the regular Walking Dead cast. That aside, these webisodes should help make the wait for the series’ return a little more bearable.

The Walking Dead shambles back onto television screens on Oct. 14 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on AMC.

Did anyone else read that as “Jon Stewart joins…”. Yea, I did too when I first read it. I share your disappointment. So yea, Josh Stewart (The Collector) has joined the cast of Christopher Nolan‘s The Dark Knight Rises.

As you can expect, Stewart’s role has not be revealed, but I’m sure, given the the film is in the middle of shooting, it’s a minor one . He is one of the many newcomers to the franchise that include, Matthew Modine, Tom Conti, Joey King, Brett Cullen, Chris Ellis, Daniel Sunjata, Diego Klattenhoff and Burn Gorman. The film is currently in production and slated for release on July 20, 2012 from Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures. Stewart has starred in such films as David Fincher‘s The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, but is best known for his TV roles. He has starred on such series as NBC’s Third Watch, Dirt and most recently, on ABC’s No Ordinary Family.

So, if you haven’t been keeping track, in addition to the names above we’ve we’ve got returning actors Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne / Batman; Michael Caine as Alfred; Gary Oldman as James Gordon; and Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox, with newcomers Tom Hardy as Bane; Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle; Juno Temple as a “street-smart Gotham girl;” Josh Pence as young Ra’s al Ghul; Joseph Gordon-Levitt as John Blake, “a Gotham City beat cop;” and Marion Cotillard as Miranda Tate.

Oh how my my anticipation RISES!
