Director Bryan Singer dropped the bomb that at least three people have been waiting to hear, that we’ll see Jubilation Lee in the upcoming sequel to X-Men: Days of Future Past, titled X-Men: Apocalypse played by newcomer Lana Condor! No word yet on whether she’ll be a principal cast member, or just shooting stuff in the background with her laser pop rocks in full Anime form. Of course given that production starts next month, we’re guessing she is probably going to be Sophie Turner’s roommate or something. Check it out, nerds – we’re going to do something very few news outlets have tried in the past, we are going to defend Jubilee. (more…)
… Jubilee, Storm, Rogue, Kitty Pryde, Rachel and Psylocke. Notice anything particular awesome about the lineup? It’s all women! And shockingly, Marvel has avoided calling the new book, from Brian Wood and Olivier Coipel, any thing silly like X-Women or Lady Mutants or Xavier’s Girls. It’s simply titled X-Men.
Colors will come from Laura Martin, and if this cover is anything to judge by, I think this new X-Men is going to be a beautiful book.

I’m a little behind on what’s been happening in the X-books lately, and by a little I mean completely, but I do love Storm sporting the mohawk again. And since I’m basically a Marvel Comics neophyte, can someone tell who’s Rachel? It seems a rather nondescript superhero name. Otherwise, this lineup features a lot of my favorites, and while Jubilee will star I’m excited to see all these ladies working together.
What do you think of this new X-Men team?
