‘DC’s Legends of Tomorrow‘ looks to be adding to their ensemble with the news that the character Vixen would appear on the series. Mari McCabe, portrayed by actress Megalyn Echikunwoke (above), was introduced last season on ‘Arrow.’ The Detroit vigilante imbued with the animalistic powers of a sacred totem was well-received on the show and with The CW‘s Berlanti-verse, where all their superhero shows (The Flash, Supergirl, and the previously two mentioned), it is easy for the character to transition to this different series. Unfortunately, due to scheduling and potential upcoming film projects, the actress seen previously won’t be the one used in the time-traveling show. (more…)
“I don’t know who you are. I don’t know what you want. If you’re looking for ransom, I can tell you I don’t have money… My fiance does! But I don’t anymore. What I do have are a very particular set of skills. Skills I have acquired over five years in hell, mostly on a weirdo island in the South China Sea. Skills that make me something else. If you let my son go now, that will be the end of it. Well, not the end of it because you’re still failing this city. But for sure if you don’t, I will look for you, I will find you… and I will kill you. Well not kill you because I don’t do that anymore. You know…” (more…)
Tonight, Legends of Tomorrow will debut on the CW, the epic new entry into the DC TV Universe that started with Arrow and continued with The Flash. But what if I told you that Legends is the fourth series set in this world. Vixen, based on the DC Comics superheroine of the same name, launched on CW Seed last year as an animated webseries, and like any good Arrowverse show it included guest (voice) appearances from Stephen Amell and Grant Gustin. But could Vixen, and voice actress Megalyn Echikunwoke crossover into the real world of Arrow and Flash? She will, and she has, and here’s the first photographic proof. (more…)
Yesterday, we showed you the first look at Bruce Willis and Jai Courtney as John and Jack McClane in next year’s Die Hard 5: Good Day to Die Hard, but an image can only do so much. Sure, Bruce still looks like he could take a few shots and Jai is certainly better suited to action then most would-be leading boy-men, but what’s the movie going to be like?
We won’t know until February 14th of next year but 20th Century Fox has released the first sneak peak of all the yippee-ki-yayiness we’re surely in store for.
Since the first Die Hard in 1988, John McClane has found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time, with the skills and attitude to always be the last man standing, making him enemy #1 for terrorists the world over. Now, McClane faces his greatest challenge ever, this time on an international stage, when his estranged son Jack is caught up in the daring prison escape of a rogue Russian leader, and father and son McClane must work together to keep each other alive and keep the world safe for democracy.
The “007” of New Jersey, this movie is going to be explosively awesome no matter how cheesy everything turns out. Hopefully, Jai puts up more of a fight than Justin Long did in the last Die Hard, it was like watching all his scenes from Dodgeball over again.
A Good Day to Die Hard stars Bruce Willis, Jai Courtney, Sebastian Koch, Yulia Snigir, Cole Hauser, Amaury Nolasco, Megalyn Echikunwoke, Anne Vyalitsyna and is directed by John Moore.
Special thanks to the fellas over at Hey U Guys for sharing the trailer.
