Okay, at this point, even I’m beginning to feel a little burnt out on all the Doctor Who. Not enough to stop watching and sharing every new video or clip, mind you, this addiction is hard to kick, but even I can recognize they’re inundating us with teases for the 50th anniversary. Only three more days to go, however, so once more unto the breach, dear Whovians! (more…)

It’s been a long drought between Doctor Who episodes. Albeit, part of that’s been anticipation and build-up for the landmark 50th anniversary episode of the show, but seriously, it’s been a while since we’ve seen a new adventure featuring our favorite Time Lord, or any of his variations. So to get the hype going for the November 23 worldwide launch of “The Day of The Doctor,” the BBC is releasing not one, but two, Doctor Who minisodes to wet your appetite for the big show. (more…)

The BBC has brought us a second Doctor Who Christmas prequel minisode thingy, following The Great Detective.  We’re leading up to the Christmas special!  It’s mind boggling that it’s already most of the way through December.  What the fuck, guys?

Anyway, check out the minisode.  It’s called The Snowmen Prequel: Vastra Investigates – Christmas Special.  It’s well worth watching to note the point in which the investigator becomes extremely shocked by the situation.  And let me tell you, the fact that he’s talking to an intelligent reptile is not what really gets under his skin.

Hit the jump to watch the minisode.  Are y’all looking forward to more Who?!  I totally am.

It’s here! Our first smidgen of Doctor Who since we say goodbye to The Ponds weeks back in “The Angels Take Manhattan.” This Christmas special, prequel, minisode, thingy just aired on BBC for Children in Need and ZOOM!, just like that it’s available on the YouTubes. Gotta love the future. The video is introduced by Matt Smith and Jenna-Louise Coleman and while they’re playing themselves you can already see a great chemistry between Doctor and companion. I’m excited for their upcoming adventure.

Minisodes are cool. Also, “Damn, Moon.” Ha! I love the Christmas special already and I’ve only seen this snippet. Can’t wait for Madame Vastra (Neve McIntosh), Jenny (Caitlin Stewart), and Strax (Dan Starkey). And is it just me or does The Doctor look a little like the Artful Dodger?

Stay tuned for the Christmas special trailer. We’ll post it here once released!

UPDATE! Here’s the Christmas special, “The Snowmen,” trailer, as promised,

They sure are teasing us with that whole Coleman was Oswin and now Coleman is Clara thing, aren’t they? Are there any clues in here or is it only more teasing to mess with the fans?

A little while back we told you to be expecting a new Doctor Who minisode very soon. Ta-Da! Here it is, straight from the CBBC. Called “Good as Gold” this minisode was written by kids at Ashoene School in England and stars Matt Smith as the Doctor and Karen Gillan as Amy – sniff! I miss her already! Not too surprisingly the gold in the title refers to Olympic gold as the plot involves London hosting the 2012 Summer Olympics.

Honestly, it’s not too bad. Sure, the Olympic plot is a little forced, and why the Doctor just explodes a Weeping Angel, I don’t know, but I like the cliffhanger, nice touch. Whatcha think? It is the only new Who we’ll get before the series returns in the fall, enjoy it.

With so little new Who for the next year you’ve got to grab your fix where and when you can! The new season won’t return until  fall of next year and all we have to tide us over is Doctor Who‘s Christmas episode, “The Doctor, The Widow and The Wardrobe.” The BBC is billing this teaser as “jaw-dropping”, but the only thing that might cause your mouth to hang is how quickly Matt Smith can ramble. I thought David Tennant was a fast talker but Smith can spout those lines with super sonic speed!

Watch the Doctor’s call for help below.

On a scale of one to 11 how pumped you are for this year’s Christmas special? Last year’s will be hard to top, can they do it?
