Mos Def

Dexter Season Six is fast approaching and Showtime wants everyone to get on-board with this season six featurette. Just check out the cast shown, Micheal C Hall, Mos Def (I love this guy – you should really check him out in The Woodsman. His performance is inspiring.), Edward James Olmos ( That’s right, FRAKKING Admiral Adama himself.), Collin Hanks, and a ton of others.

Here’s the Dexter Season Six trailer that came out way back in July just in case you need to catch up.

The concept of faith is a very heavy subject in season six of Dexter. America’s favorite serial killer has more issues then ever. During yesterday’s “Dexter” panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2011, stars Michael C. Hall, C.S. Lee, Mos Def and Colin Hanks were all present to talk about the upcoming season. They even dropped the premiere date for the fans, how sweet are they?

Showtime was generous enough to release the full trailer for the sixth season of “Dexter” to come out Sunday, October 6th at 9PM.

Like we previously mentioned, this season will heavily rely on the theme of faith. With all the things Dexter has done he has begun to grapple with the fear of what may become of his son. Hall reportedly said that Dexter has become fearful that his murderous ways may pass on to his son, now sharing similarities in the way they have and are growing up. As we’ve reported before, the main theme for the new season is faith. This is shaping up to be the most sinful season of Dexter yet.

Edward James Olmos on Dexter Season Six!

Where do you go after being universally recognized as the Admiral for the Fleet on Battlestar Galactica? Why … to Miami, of course!

Edward James Olmos, who played Admiral William Adama on the acclaimed sci-fi series, will now be playing a whole different kind of character: a brilliant, charismatic professor of religious studies.

Could he be the villain of the season?

Well, while not much is known about the upcoming season of Dexter, what we do know is that that there will not be one “big bad” this season. In fact, according to Showtime‘s President, David Nevins, there will be multiple.

It is not [about] one big bad. There’s one interesting story that will move through the season, and it will be cast very interestingly, but it’s not exactly that one person.

Olmos joins already announced cast members Mos Def and Colin Hanks in the critically acclaimed series that airs its sixth season this fall.
