The Interwebz is a great place for nerdy art and the like. A lot of the time it’s fuckin’ weird shit like Bert and Ernie comparing dildos and shit like that. But there are a lot of awesome things that we see on a daily basis, and we’re lazy nerd bastards so we just round them all up once a week for your nerdgasm glory.

I love this! Click the picture for a full-sized version. Ever wondered what the top ‘net browsers, Firefox, Opera, Internet Explorer, Chrome and Safari would look like as chicks in hawt dresses? Probably not. But here you have it, anyway! Credit goes to the very talented Moie “Eskimoie” Preisenberger.

For me, I remember Final Fantasy VI (some of you may remember it as Final Fantasy III when it was first release in US) for two things. First being that Kefka, who was nothing but an evil bastard that just wanted nothing but pure destruction and laugh about it. The second thing about FFVI is the memorable opera scene. While it may have been long, it was just awesome to see how a game from the SNES era was able to do something so elegant and powerful.

Eliot Hagen of Elder-Geek has given the Dream Oath opera a HD lift to the graphics and replace the sound with an actual opera bit from a Final Fantasy sound track. Out of love for the scene and some great editing skills, Hagen has created an awesome 10 minute video that is sure to make any FFVI fan smile. I ask you, please take the time to watch this video because it damn well deserves all the views it can get.

Remember that scene in the Fifth Element when that blue alien chick sings that opera song? Did you know it’s supposedly not humanly possible to sing like that? At least that’s what the director said in the DVD commentary. The opera song in the movie was done with computers and distortion.

Not humanly possible he says. Hmm then way can this chick do it? Impressivly I might ad? YouTube user Disneydiva7 just sits in front of her computer with mic in hand and proves the director of the Fifth Element wrong. Save her husbands big fat creepy floating head in the background this is 100% amazing. Though, she make some fugly faces while doing it, Not Hot. Disneydiva7, unless you are lip syncing, are an Internet Nerdbastard phenom.

Note: if you watch this with the volume off, this diva definitely looks like she is in the middle of taking a hot one. The kind where the jalapeño burns, ya know, what Johnny Cash was singing about in “Ring of Fire”..

The original version that was sung in The 5th Element can be seen below, it was done by a severe distortion of numerous opera singers, men and women, and DisneyDiva7 does it from her gut. We speak your name. (Thank you to Akasha)

How Efficient Is Your Ride?

browsersWell, I’m sure that we have all used these browsers at one point or another, except for Opera.. WTF is that? These illustrations actually made me laugh out in a girlish manner. Especially the Internet Explorer picture. No one could have put it better. It’s that overexerted horse that you kick the shit out of when you still have a lot of work to do and it just lays down. And Safari… Let’s just put it this way, “Have you ever got laid by picking up some one on a bike?” (And not like grabbing a cyclist and lifting them in the air in some freak exertion of strength, but in a procreating manner) “What’s that? You haven’t? I wonder why..” And while you’re busy trying to figure out why I connected safari to picking people up on bikes I’m going to move on… And now, Google Chrome. This is the browser I use, and i must say this isn’t what i had pictured. I’ll try and explain. Google Chrome is like some poor teenager getting too early of a start during his first time.. You know. A PRE-lude for what would ensue. THAT fast. Because you guys know that fuse would take longer then some poor bastards preemptive strike against himself.. ENJOY!
