Folks, the image above shows logos for upcoming films that are being worked on and I don’t know about you but it’s about damn time that we finally get a Candyland flick. Hasbro recently held a stockholders meeting and decided to show off and give updates on movie projects that are based on their properties.
The first update is that the Ouija movie is set for November 9th, 2012 release date but it has yet to find it’s director. Word is that they are trying to get Pierre Morel (Taken) to direct it. The next update was that they revealed a image of Snake Eyes with the words G.I. Joe 2 next to him (image available). The last big update was that J.J. Abrams (Star Trek) is still on board as the director for the Micronauts film.
After that they revealed directors for the following films: Peter Berg (Hancock, The Kingdom) – Battleship; Rob Letterman (Monsters vs. Alien, Shark Tale) – Stretch Armstrong; Kevin Lima (A Goofy Movie, Enchanted) – Candyland; Gore Verbinski (Pirates of the Caribbean Trilogy, The Ring) – Clue; and Ridley Scott (Alien, Blade Runner) – Monopoly. They also revealed that Will Smith will be the producer for the Risk film.
